Song of the Sword

My body is steel, my blood is fire, my teeth are razor
I am the beast that guards the life of my master
I am the light that brings the dawn to those who are oppressed
I am the cross that liberates the weaklings
I am the beacon of hope and faith

No enemy shall break my body,
Nor bend my bones, nor burn my soul, nor pierce my heart
For I am forged to fight for my king, serve my master, honour my creator and die for my country

Courage is my scabbard and bravery is my cross guard
Loyalty is my handle and honour is my blade
I shall know no fear in front of my enemy
Nor retreat from the battlefield, nor surrender in the heat of the war,
Nor show mercy to those who have no honour
For I will continue to fight until my last breath
So that I may conquer death and triumph over my enemies

The voice of the wind shall sing with me
The echoes of the water shall cry with me
The resonance of the earth shall shout with me
And the bursting ferocity of the crimson fire shall dance with me

Whoever pulls me from my sheath shall have an everlasting glory and promised victory
Hold me and I shall protect you from the dangers you may face
Swing me and I shall clash with the steel of my enemy
Wield me and I shall drink the blood of my opponent
Strike me and I shall eat the life of my foe

And once my enemies are vanquished,
They shall cry out the name that was heard before in the olden days
And that name will forever be remembered in the ages to come
For I am sworn to defend those whoever holds me
And give light to those who wield me in the darkness
