I can feel it.
I can feel its eyes piercing through my skin like a knife.
"It knows where I am" I thought.
I hear a distant footstep, they're getting closer.
I look around the corner into a pitch black void.
On the ground I see a key attached to a piece of string.
The string disappears into a door, which is illuminated by a small candle on the floor beside a window.
The window is boarded up.
I've tried breaking through it a couple times before but no matter how much force I hit it with it won't budge.
I sneak around the corner praying it won't hear me.
I make my way into the room and close the door behind me.
In the room I see small books with the same title "open your mind" before I can investigate the books I hear a noise outside the door.
It sounds like metal hitting a wall.
I can't stand the noise anymore.
"I've been here too long" I thought.
I need to get out of here.
Then I remembered about the key in the hallway.
But it was to late now.
I then saw the string.
I followed it to the back of the room.
There I saw a hook.
I grab the string off the hook and start slowly pulling it.
I hear the key dragging across the floor.
My heart's pounding.
I make my way to the door and pick up the key.
I hear groaning outside the door.
"I'm trapped" the thought went through my head, constantly repeating itself.
I look at the key and then around the room noticing a couple of lockers.
I make my way towards the lockers noticing a padlock.
I insert the key into the padlock.
Inside I find a cassette tape and player.
I listen to the cassette tape.
•It's been almost a year now since we've started. They're already multiplying, we've only seen three but there's been signs of at least ten. We don't know what to do anymore but we can't let them escape. We've found out that they only eat meat and metal it's weird but we can't disobey them. We've lost two researchers. I've been trying to get out but they won't let anyone leave. If you find this just know... That you're screwed. It's best to end it yourself.•
Tears run down my face.
I make my way to the door and listen for it.
I can't hear anything.
I open the door and walk down the hallway around me many piles of scrap.
I look through the piles and find a small frame.
There's a picture of a tall man in a suit.
As I set it down I notice something in the corner of my eye.
A claw that is detached from a corpse of a frog like creature.
I walk towards it, there's scratches on it.
It's pulsating.
I examine it's head.
It's eyes are wide open.
It doesn't move.
I feel warm, moist mist hit the back of my neck.
I tense up.
I'm unable to move.
I feel a hard and spikey piece of meat hit my back.
It Pierce's my skin I feel blood drip down my back.
I groan in pain.
I feel it's teeth press against my skull.
My mind goes blank.
Reality slowly fades away.
Darkness.
