You started to wipe off the glass counter top in the cafe where you worked. It was late and you hadn't had a large amount of customers that day, so you thought you close up shop. Plus it was raining so you decided it would be best to leave before it began to rain harder.
Suddenly, just as you were about to leave, a tall man with messy black hair and dark circles under his eyes stepped in.
He looked as if he hadn't slept in days.
He wore a white long sleeved shirt with blue jeans and his posture definitely wasn't the best but you knew not to judge people by their appearance.
" Uh, sir? We're about to close... you'll have to come back tomorrow."
" I wont be long, I know what I want."
You sighed, " I'm sorry sir but I need to leave, I can't help you right now. But please, come back tomorrow."
He didn't budge.
" If you don't get out I'll have to throw you out."
He looked back, his deep brown orbs piercing straight through your (e/c) orbs.
" There is an eighty percent chance you will not actually throw me out, I can clearly see your not that kind of person."
You frowned, "Huh?"
You shrugged it off because he didn't respond and decided to get him what he wanted and get the day over with.
" What would you like?"
He looked down at the class counter top to see the treats underneath as they lay on shiny silver trays.
" I'd like a slice of strawberry cake and a large bowl of~"
His sentence was interrupted by a loud boom of thunder, the two of you looked outside to see it was pouring outside.
He looked back down and shook his head with a sigh,
" Never mind that last bit, I'll just have a slice of strawberry cake."
You nodded and walked back into the kitchen, you felt bad that he was still up so late dealing with you so you decided to give me a fresh piece that was still warm.
You frosted it and decorated it with strawberry slices and sprinkles and other little edible decorations.
You brought it back out to him to see a small smile spread across his face.
You put it on the counter and he handed you the exact amount of money before you had even told him what it was.
You brushed it off and figured he just ordered that item often.
He politely thanked you as began to make his way back outside.
"Wait!" You called out to him grabbing your umbrella and keys, he looked back at you clearly stunned.
You opened the door and held the umbrella outside, opening it.
" You shouldn't walk around in this weather with no protection, you could get sick."
" Yes." He mumbled.
" I'll walk with you." You smiled and held the umbrella over the two of you.
" Thank you... I'm not used to this kind of treatment. I don't really have any friends and as you can tell I'm not the best when it comes to socializing."
" N-no friends? That can't be true."
" Yes," he sighed, " Its very true."
You purses your lips in thought,
How could he have no friends?
Eventually, the two of you ended up at his apartment.
" Thank you... uh what's your name?"
" I'm (f/n)."
" Ah, well (f/n), thank you for your assistance."
" No problem! As long as you're around me, your not alone."
He nodded and smiled and gently closed the door.
You smiled and let out a small sigh...

He's kinda cute...
