My legs wobbled as I waited for the announcer to call my name. The first song I'm gonna sing in front of a huge audience. In reality, it was more like a hundred people but to me it was thousands. All I hear is the announcer calling my name, "#24 Seraphine Scarlet". I shuffle on to the stage noticing it's bigger than just a hundred at least a thousand.

I take a deep breath. "Hello, my name is Seraphine Scarlet and I will be singing Just My Type by The Vamps."

After the song ends all I hear is silence and the crowd erupts in applause across the room and people standing up to cheer. I take a bow and headed off stage drenched in sweat from the lights.

I cheer " Yes! I did it they loved me!!" wrapping her arms around her mother

"I'm so proud of you! I love you so much!" said her mother cheerfully and gives her mother a big tight hug back.

"I love you too"

~1 hour 30 minutes later~

"They are finally announcing the quarter-finalists!!" said Seraphine

"I guarantee that you have moved on," replied Mom

The announcer and the judges walk up on stage and start to announce the quarter-finalists...#28 Elizabeth Bucker, #43 Dawson Mendez, #36 Alex Bauman, #24 Seraphine Scarlet...

" I MADE IT TO QUARTER-FINALS!!!" I screamed rambunctiously

" I knew you would make it," my mom replied with a teary eye filled look

"Yes, it's amazing but from now on it's gonna be extremely hard"

"I know honey but I know you will make it and win"

"Yes, I am determined to win but it's gonna be hard to surpass Alex Bauman #36"

"Yes, he is gonna be a challenge since he is the top kid at your school"

Alex Bauman starts walking toward my mom and me with a cheery look on his face and shakes my hand.

"Well done on making it to finals and wish you good luck."

"Thank you, Alex and I hope you do well too" smiles at Alex

" But just know I'm not going to let a person like you win" whispering in Seraphines ear and walks away pretending nothing happened with that cheery look on his face.

" The nerve of him! I knew he wasn't a nice kid!" Seraphine scowled

"Well, all you have to do is get to the next round and then you go up
against him." Mom replied kindly

"You're right mom, Thanks for being here for me." Seraphine wraps her arms around her mom again.

Seraphine's mom wraps her arms around her and both of them get into the car to head home. Mom starts up the car and drives out of the parking lot onto the street passing many shops and other activities people do on a Wednesday afternoon. Passing the cross sections with greenlights and stopping at crossways with red lights. We finally arrive home with a white house and some bushes in the front. My mom and I start to head up onto the porch and start to get the keys. After rambling through the keys my mom has she finally finds the right key and we walk inside. I head up the stairs, while my mom goes to the kitchen to start fixing dinner for me and her.

I grab my door handle and push the door open revealing a somewhat clean room with purple walls. There are shelves filled with pop funkos, anime figurines, and some singing trophies. On the walls, there are some posters of animes like My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, and One Punch Man. On the bed, there is a blanket full of music notes and pillows as well as a spade design on one of the pillows. Next, to her bed, there is a nightstand with a picture of her father that passed away along with a light and some sketch pads with a water bottle that has a #24 on the side indicating her number in the school vocals competition. She flops on to her comfy bed and grabs one her sketchpads off the nightstand and starts working on a drawing that she has been working on for the past few days. The character's name is Sunless and he has a fiery shirt with blonde hair and blue eyes. But as soon as she tries to start she was interrupted

"Dinner is ready!!" mom yelled loudly

"Alright, I will be down!" I yelled back

I start to leave my room and head down the oak-covered stairs. I turn to the left and head towards the dining room where the food is.

"That looks really good, mom," I replied starving

"Well sit down and start eating it's going to be cold," she said sternly

"Don't have to tell me twice!" I eat it slowly and savor every bit as I rip off pieces of the chicken off the bone.

"Mmm, this tastes so good, mom!"

"Well I'm glad," she smiles

I finish all my food and take my dishes to the kitchen sink and rinse them off.

"I'm going to go to bed, mom. I have Quater-finals tomorrow."

"Alright, goodnight, I love you." She smiled and got up to hug me

"I love you too," I smiled back and hugged her and headed off to bed.

I walked up the stairs and headed to my bedroom closing my door and changed into my pajamas. I turned off the light and got onto my bed and wrapped myself in my blankets and fell asleep.
