chapter 1

   Olivia's POV

I was sitting in class. It was lunch time. I had went out and bought some food this morning so I wouldn't starve. My mom blames me for my dad leaving us. I take my lunch out from my backpack, then i hear footsteps behind me. Oh no! I think tom myself. Not again. I look up slowly and turn towards the foot steps. I see my bully,  Lissa Turker.  She smiles at me but her eyes tell me her true intentions when she says " Hey Liv, wanna go eat outside with me and my friends?" I knew for a fact that if I didn't get up and go with her that i was dead meat. I pick up my lunch and follow her outside to her friends. As soon as we get outside she snatches my food away and slaps me in the face." Hey fatty, I thought we told you not to eat anymore?! So why did you bring this food?" she asked. My face grew red as she asked. My cheek was throbbing from where she had slapped me. 

I wasn't going to let her know that she had hurt me. That would give her too much pleasure. Plus I like the look on her face when she hears me talk back to her. So I say" Uhm....I don't think I need your permission to eat. The last time i checked the rules of this school i could eat during lunch time with out someone telling me I can't. So if you don't mind......LEAVE ME TF ALONE" I look at her face and smirk. I see the look of anger in her eyes and etched all on her face it just thrills me. Then I turn around to walk away, when I feel someone yank my hair back as hard as they could.

I bite my lip so I wouldn't yelp out in pain. Then Lissa and her friends start to kick me and stomp on me. then when they know that I can't get up and fight them the two friends grab my arms and lift me up, while Lissa grabs into her pocket. Oh shit. I think to my self as she pulls out the pocket knife. she opens it up and starts slicing my arms and my thighs. i can feel the blood gushing from the deep wounds, but not deep enough for me to bleed out so I don't need to go to the hospital. Once they are done I hear the bells chiming for us to go back into the building. I decide to just skip the rest of school and go back home and clean up and rest before my mom gets back home. I run home and go inside my house when i realize my mom is already home and this time she brought a man home.
