Rose's POV:
The myths are true.....only not all of it.Things like werewolves only shift on full moons,die from silver bullets, vampires burn in sunlight and can die from garlic all of that is fake.I'm not sure about the 'hurts to shift thing' because even though I can shift into a wolf because I'm half vampire aswell it doesn't hurt.
Since time began really (because I don't really know) my family have been hybrids and I'm pretty sure we are the only ones since I've never smelt or seen another werewolf or vampire in my 24 years of living. Although I have only stuck to the small town in Christchurch New Zealand called Thorne Stone. I've lived here with my adoptive family for most of my life. My real parents died when I was 11 but before they died they taught me about our past and our abilities so I wasn't completely in the dark. My family now, my mum Linda, my dad Greg and my little sister Lucy they know about me, since Linda and Greg were my mum and dad's best friends it made it only natural I went with them after my parents died.
"Hey mum have you found my bag I'm going be late for my interview!" I shout down the stairs while brushing my teeth with an immense amount of speed.
"Yes hunny, it's on the chair in the kitchen!" She shouts back with slight frustration.
I race downstairs barefoot after finishing brushing my teeth and grip my handbag before sprinting out the door.
"You forgot shoes!" My mum shouts running from the kitchen to the hallway facing the front door.
"shit yeah...thanks mum" I say as I run back inside and slip on my high heels before running out again.
She smiles and waves me goodbye as I close the door. I walk quickly almost into a light jog to get to my taxi waiting at the foot of the driveway.
After getting in I give the address and we set off towards the destination.
