(07-12-19: I've seen comments on Amy in this chapter. Amy is Freddie's girlfriend, yes. I don't keep the same names throughout the chapters, unless it's in parts. If you don't like it, I'm sorry. I didn't like using Y/n because it's a pain to write. Alright? Alright.)

Earlier that day...

"What time do you think you're coming home?" Amy asked, biting the bottom of her lip.

"Probably late. The boys and I have lots to do." Freddie responded. A small smirk then started to form on his lips. "Why? Will you miss me?"

Amy shrugged. "I wouldn't say I will..."

Freddie scoffed. "Please, my kitten, you always miss me even when I am around."

The corner of Amy's lips tugged into a small smile. "Maybe, maybe not."

Freddie rolled his eyes before wrapping his arms around her waist. "I'll be back."

"I know you will." Amy said softly, cupping his cheek in her palm.

Freddie gave Amy a small kiss. "I'll see you later Amy."

"You definitely will." Amy winked.

Amy took another glance at the clock. 1:32. It's only been two minutes since she's last checked the clock and it was bothering her. She had officially lost things to do around the house. No record would help with her boredom, she finished the dishes, fed the cats, and even dusted. The laundry was all put away and a new load was currently spinning around. There was nothing she could do.

Little Oscar was curled up on the other side of the couch. Amy smiled as she patted the feline's head. "How I love you." She smiled.

Looking around the room, Amy's eyes landed on the piano that sat next to the wall. The gears started to run in her head as her fingers started to twitch.

'I don't think Freddie would mind if I played a little song,' Amy thought.

Getting up, she headed towards the piano. Her fingers grazed over the keys as she played some of the higher notes. Biting her bottom lip, she stared down at what was before her. 'He won't be home until later. Besides, who else is here to tell?'

Amy sat herself down on the bench and let her hands over the keys. So many songs flashed through her mind, so many she knew how to play. But what, she didn't know.

Slowly she allowed her hands to play a soft D chord. Before long, she started to play the introduction for Your Song by Elton John. Her eyes watched her hands as she played the soft melody.

"It's a little bit funny / this feeling inside / I'm not one of those who can / easily hide." Amy sang. "I don't have much money / but boy if I did / I'd buy a big house where / we both could live..."

A rebel tear escaped Amy's eye as she carried on with the song. It made her remind herself of when she met Freddie. He had such a big dream and his dream was coming true. It was both of their goals for him to go far, and now that it was happening, she was living in a life she never could've asked better for.

"Anyway the thing is, / What I really mean, / yours are the sweetest eyes / I've ever seen / And you can tell everybody / This is your song / It maybe quite simple but / Now that it's done / I hope you don't mind / I hope you don't mind / That I put down in words / How wonderful life is / Now you're in the world..."

Amy was suddenly caught off guard when another body sat next to her on the bench. She gasped and pulled her hands away from the keys. She knew exactly who it was without even looking. Her face grew pale as she looked down at her lap, not wanting to make eye contact.

"Why'd you stop?" Freddie's voice asked quietly.

Amy dodged the question. "What are you doing home early?"

"I'm not answering yours if your not answering mine, dear." Freddie stated.

Amy sighed. "You scared me, that's why. Also, I didn't think you would like me playing on your piano."

Freddie was silent for a moment. 'Oh my little kitten, you always think I'm going to get angry, don't you?'

"Look at me." Freddie commanded.

Amy refused. She didn't want to read Freddie's eyes at the moment. Yet, if she did look at them, she would fall into a trance that she knew very well. It didn't last long though. A long, slender finger was placed under her chin, forcing her to look at him.

"What are you afraid of, dear?" Freddie asked quietly, searching her face for an answer.

Amy stared into Freddie's dark brown eyes. "I-I-" Amy swallowed

"Spit it out love." Freddie said with a small laugh.

Amy sighed as she took hold of Freddie's hand that held her chin. "I don't know. I just didn't expect you to be home so soon! I wouldn't have touched you're piano if I knew-"

"Kitten, do I seem angry?" Freddie asked.

Amy searched Freddie's face for ages. She was looking for his jaw to clench, or his mouth to twitch, or a glaze to wash over his eyes. But none of those things happened. His face was completely calm and his eyes were soft.

"No." Amy sighed, looking down again.

Freddie leaned forward, placing a long and sweet kiss on top of Amy's forehead. "Stop jumping into conclusions, darling. It's not good for us. Plus, this is not my piano, it's ours."

Amy nodded with a small smile. She couldn't help it, Freddie was her drug and he kept feeding her everyday. She was definitely in love with this man and she fought hard for him.

"Are you going to continue the song?" Freddie asked.

"You want to play instead?" Amy asked.

"No. I want to hear the notes come from your beautiful, small hands." Freddie stated.

Amy smiled as her hands started with the D chord again. Slowly but surely, she picked up where she left off. But this time, Freddie's voice started the singing.

"If I was a sculptor / But then again no / Or a girl who makes potions in / A traveling show / I know it's not much but / It's the best I can do. / My gift is my song and / This one's for you."

Freddie and Amy looked at each other, both with smiles plastered on their faces as she played a small part. Neither of them wanted to sing the "oh's", for they rather wanted to just look at each other. Both of them picked up chorus one last time, harmonizing the lyrics.

"And you can tell everybody / This is your song / It may be quite simple but / Now that it's done / I hope you don't mind / I hope you don't mind / That I put down in words / How wonderful life is / Now you're in the world."

Ending with the same D chord, Amy rested her head on Freddie's shoulder. Freddie pressed his lips into her hair as an arm wrapped around her waist. They were just happy to be together at the moment, soaking in their love for each other.

"You never told me why you came home early." Amy stayed quietly, lifting her head to look at Freddie.

"I just came home to see you, kitten." Freddie responded.
