'When the Land was new it was still as if everything around was sleeping. No sounds, not even a squeak from slumbering mice or a buzz from annoying flies. The silence took over anyone or thing that tried to make an effort of some sort of sound. A single wolf stood amongst the silence, its eyes glowing with worry and fright as it scanned the dead land before it. Walking through the grand forest it took in the white's and grey's of the forest as it watched the creatures moving about but nothing was ever emitted from them. The wolf leaped from boulder to boulder, its ears pressed against its head as it moved forward through the massive trees that cover the land yet a single bird never made a peep or even sang a single song. Just as the wolf came upon the end of the forest it slowly walked over to the edge of the cliff like mountain to look upon more of the land, its heart growing evermore with the pain of silence that surrounded them. With this the wolf tilted it's head back and stared at the big circle in the sky, its light shining brightly through the darkness enough to guard even the mice's home. The wolf took a large breath of air and exhaled it but nothing came out as tears began to stain the wolf's fur it took another breath of the cold frosty air and with all its might a wondrous voice sung through the air breaking down the walls of silence. The animals and creatures around the forest lifted up their tired sorrowful heads and listened for the first time to the odd things making such a sound as they soon each made their ways to the one making such a sound. The closer they got the more louder the song became as each creature began to emit their own special sounds causing the forest to burst into beautiful colors and for the first time ever the forest was now bursting with life giving new purpose to the creatures around. Now with the new sense added to every creature's abilities it became harder for hunter to hunt and easier for prey to run and hide yet even at certain moments whenever prey or hunter decided to be impatient or less aware this cost them their lives.' a shaky voice spoke as their hands landed back onto their lap as they looked back at the child on the ground besides the rest of the elderly people around them. "So the wolves brought sound to the world but if the wolf was so lonely why not go look for some other wolves instead of needing to howl? It can't be that important '' the kid questioned as it glanced at the elderly who stared back with some shock as he chuckled while the rest giggled and chuckled also. "Their howls are not only music for humans or to us but they help them communicate with their families and friends. It also helps them know that they aren't alone in this world. They are very social creatures and they need the company of not only their own kind but others as well." another elder spoke up as the kid hummed loudly. "You all need to stop filling this child's mind with mindless stories that aren't true." a voice spoke from the entrance as they each turned their heads to look at the woman standing at the doorway. "This is history not fairytales." all the elders glared at the woman who raised her hands in the air before calling the child to come along with her with so much hesitation as it stood up and sighed before heading towards its mother. "The elderly are just so crazy with those old fairy tales." the child shook its head as they continued to walk down the hallway.

"But they said it was history...our history." the female shook her head more and rolled her eyes. " Those are just myths hun no good to believe in something that's not true." frowning the wolf pup yanked its paw like hand away from their mother and ran in a different direction allowing its legs to carry it further away from its screaming mother. "Come back here young lady!!" as it's mother ran after the pup calling its name. The mothers voice booming within the caves soon causing it to echo as the pup never stopped running. The voice from within the dream echoed into reality as it woke up a slumbering creature causing its eyes to open slowly before it thought the voice was a part of its dream another loud yell called out for it causing many to lower their heads downwards as the voice got more demanding. The creature sighed loudly, its large body slowly standing upwards on four paws while it soon stretched in a cat-like manner. Lifting its abnormally large ears towards the direction of the voice its body changes allowing it to walk upright on its hindlegs. Exiting out from the hiding place the creature was sleeping within so it could avoid any contact from the others pulling the creature out from their thoughts was the same voice yelling out its name. Sighing loudly at how dramatic the voice started to sound, it began to move swiftly through the halls of the cave, the black and blue fur bouncing as it hurried and walked towards the yelling of its name. The wolf's claws scratch against the rock flooring as its tail bounces up and down with each step. Seeing the light at the end of the long hall way the wolf narrowed her eyes slightly and waited for them to adjust yet never stopping and continued to hurriedly walk towards her destination. The yelling of the wolf's name grew louder as small murmurs filled the air, the wolf-like creature never once caring to look or pay any mind to the others around her as she continued to walk.
