The air swirled around her, slightly ruffling her dress. The corset seemed to loosen slightly under the breeze and she silently thanked it. The wind seemed to whistle in return to the quiet appreciation. The trees danced to this tune which in turn played their own music from the ruffle of the leaves. A soft smile soon reached her lips. Her eyes fluttered closed for but a moment. A deep breath could be heard if one listened close enough. Her exhale long and well needed. Rushing waters could be heard throughout her ears nearby. The river in front of her glittered from the sun rays. The crystal water seemed the compliment the scenery inside. Small and large fish twirled and leaped around each other. Different colors all bright enough to catch one's eye. The plant life equally as lively except for the occasional mossy green. Which still fit in quite nicely.
The sun heated her skin in a soothing way. The sky seemed brighter than ever before. She cursed herself when her hair would occasionally blow into her face or mouth. Although it was pointless as she would quickly remove it and forget about it seconds later. She took one last breath again before turning to her kingdom. Anxiousness and anxiety filled her being. Her heart pounded loudly and her lungs tightened. Her eyes unsure and her lips pursed. She braced herself as best she could as she took the first step to her certain doom. Every inch closer to the castle made her heart tighten and stomach flip. Each step seemed harder to take than the last.
Her dress calmed itself as she reached the castle walls. The air stopped swirling and the wind stopped whistling. The trees stopped dancing and the sun rays disappeared. A large weight seemed to reach her shoulders when she reached the gates. She gave a quick, polite nod to each guard outside, before scurrying inside. Her pupils dilated as she entered, but her eyes quickly adapted to the loss of light. The room was alive with movement. Everyone seemed to be doing something productive. Guilt seemed to wash through her face. A frown now evident in place of her delicate smile.
She was to busy looking for something to occupy her, that she didn't notice the maiden scurrying over. A quick tap on her shoulder changed that though. Her attention was snapped over to the brunette. "Oh hello, Elizabeth!" Her voice light and bubbly. To seem welcoming although slight annoyance ached in her. "Alexandra" Taunted Elizabeth. A cruel smile displayed upon her face. "My husband, requests your presence." She snapped at her. For a short moment anger could be seen on her facial features. Along with a quick, snarky reply. "You mean the king. You are nothing, but his toy Elizabeth. I advice you watch your tongue." A quick sneer and footsteps could be heard to signal the end of the 'conversation'.
With a small huff she started on her way. Her feet practically stomping themselves. The halls darkened as she continued. The lights slowly fading as the sun set upon the horizon. She approached the door in anger. Her fist slamming against it. It opened with a loud 'CLASH'. Her father looked over quite stunned and annoyed. She quickly situated herself. "I am sorry, forgive me father. I have no excuse for my actions." Her confidence shown in her words. She appeared graceful and dignified. Her eyes then caught something. Her attention traveling. A tall man stood by her father.
"All is forgiven Alexandra. Now the reason I have called you here is someone has come for you." He said with slight amusement. She raised her eyebrow and walked over. Quiet footsteps and graceful walk, just as she was taught. As she approached, the man's features became more prominent. His stance tall, as a sign of dominance. His chin high and his clothing sharp. Almost everything scream arrogant, yet his facial feature were soft and elegant. Besides the smirk prominent on his face. His brown eyes sparkled with kindness. His lips full and tinted red. Subtle specks of hair decorated his chin. His pale skin seemed to fit him quite nicely though.
She turned back to her father "I see, well does this involve you or may I speak to him privately?" She questioned, confused on the situation. She awaited an answer, but before the king could reply a voice sounded beside her. "What would you prefer Princess?" The man asked curiously. His face now toward her. She displayed a smile for him. "I'm sorry?" She asked, as if to persuade him to drop it. She swore she saw his smirk widen. "What would you prefer Princess?" He repeated.
Her mind spun and she thought about it for a moment. "Privately" She said, her voice soft and quiet, but loud enough to hear. "Very well" The man said. "Would you please excuse us, King Azeik?" Her father smiled nervously. Followed by an awkward laugh. "V-very well, King Ebron" Her father answered. Her feet stuck to the ground 'King Ebron?' She questioned in her brain. She denied it, as it would not be possible. 'I must of heard him wrong.' She explained.
The man grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him as they left the room. She didn't even realize it, but she heard the slam of the door shutting. A slight squeak escaped her. "Well Princess, I'm sure you know who I am?" He questioned her. Arrogance in his tone. She didn't reply, so instead he answered for her. "I am, King Ebron. King Ebron of The Zeikay" She wasn't sure how to reply. "King Ebron, I'm unsure of why your here though? I mean you requested me?" She questioned completely confused.
A small chuckle erupted from him. His footsteps sounded throughout the small room they stood in. Her skin seemed to jump as goosebumps traveled across it. By pure instinct she backed up. Each step closer, one step back. She squeaked once more when her spine meant with the frigid wall. She cursed herself for being so embarrassed so easily. By now she was sure that her face was bright red. Only a foot away now, he placed his hand against the wall. His face leaning forward, only centimeters now.
"You see Princess, you'll be turning 16 soon. At that age is when you will find your mate. As this is the case, I'm going to leave you confused." He leaned a little closer, his nose touching my neck. "Might I add you smell amazing" He finished and pulled away. She once again heard the sound of the door closing. This was the beginning of her end.
