The break up

20 years later...

At about this time Ralph was about 32 years old and and Jack was about 33 years old. Jack still having the same red hair as on the island, and the same cocky personality. Ralph still having his blonde hair and his strong willed personality. Ralph had lived in Idaho and loved his life working as an engineer. Jack, on the other hand had hated his life in California working at fast food restaurants just to get some money, he had lived in an apartment that he could barely afford. Every once in a while he would get a raise and have spare cash to shop a little.
A long while ago Jack and Ralph had met up by accident and started hanging out and got to know each other. Later in their friendship they started to get feelings because they knew each other so well and they liked each other's personality even though they were completely different.
Sooner or later they had fallen deeply in love and decided to take their relationship to the next level and moved in together. "I love our new place!" They had gotten a three bedroom house.
Jack and Ralph had been thinking and they decided in a few years when they know their relationship will work, they will adopt children. They will adopt two children.
"I'm so excited, I've never wanted anything else in my life!" Ralph said with excitement.
With a sad voice Jack said, "Are you sure that you want to adopt, I don't know of I can handle two of them." Jack was never sure what he wanted, he wasn't used to having a good life, Ralph changed his life for the better, he's thankful for Ralph. He turned his life around, he's happy.
"Of cause I am sure of this Jack, are you having doubts about starting a family?"
"I don't know anymore, I'm happy and I want a family I'm just not sure I want it with, well, you." Jack shouldn't have said this. He made a bad decision, knowing Ralph he would be mad at him for days.
"Are you breaking up with me!"
"Ummm, of course not, I just need to think?"
"Then why did you say that?"
" I don't know, I'm stupid, you know this!" " I guess you're right."
" I'll let you think about it and we'll go from there."
Ralph let Jack think for about a week and they finally made their decision. Jack didn't want kids just yet so they decided to wait. Ralph really wanted kids right now. He was sad and disappointed.
Weeks went by and Ralph was getting impatient, he wanted a family, he didn't want to sit around and wait for the "perfect time" he wanted to have one now. Jack with him or not. "Jack you need to make up your mind, it's a family or leave, your choice," Ralph said angrily.
"Are you really making me choose?" Jack sadly said
"Yes, I'm tired of you not sticking with the plan. Like how we were supposed to move to Washington and not Nevada! And now how we are supposed to adopt children and have a happy family and a happy life. Now you are just ruining my hopes of a happy life. I'm sick of it!"
" I can change!"
"That's what they all say."
"But I'm not like the rest."
"Yeah, I know you are way worse!"
Ralph was tired of Jack's crap and decided to kick him out until he came to his senses and made his decision. Ralph on the other hand had also made a decision, but it wasn't about the children, it was about Jack.
"You know what Jack, I'm done with you, I don't know how I've put up with you all these years, I'm sick and tired of cleaning your messes, paying your YOUR bills, and paying for the house all by myself, you need to get a job, why? Because you are moving out! You have two days to get out. Have fun."
"But Ralph, I love you and I don't know where you are getting all this from" "What I'm saying is all facts, and you know it, I just can't anymore okay!"
"Okay, i will give you some time and hope you calm down." "No, I don't need time, I need you out of my life!"
"Woah, do you really mean this."
Uhh yeah obviously," Ralph said sarcastically.
They fought for at least four more hours and Ralph finally shoves him out the door and locks it.
