I had just come home from school, it was about 3pm. I opened the door to be greeted by William my doorman/ butler. I come from a wealthy family, but I hate it. Everyone treats me like I’m some celebrity…it may seem like its pretty great but I seriously hate it. I threw my bag on the floor in the hallway, as I was walking up to my room I heard footsteps. I turned around and saw my housekeeper Angela; she was picking up my bag.

“Angela you don’t need to do that it’s fine” I smiled reassuring her that it was okay. She gave me a look and went into the living room, probably cleaning. I went into my bedroom and shut my door; I grabbed my iPod from my desk and jumped on the bed. I grabbed my notebook and pencil from my night stand and drew while I listened to Hell Above by Pierce the Veil.

A few moments later I heard my door swing open ad hit my wall. My dad came in with a furious look upon his face. Great, he probably got a call from my private school.

“IMOGENE GRACE! YOUR SCHOOL JUST CALLED ME, YOU GOT IN A FIGHT?!?!” My dad yelled. I cringed at my name; it was the worst name you could give someone.

“Yes dad.” I rolled my eyes and sighed. He came at me and picked me up off the bed, he threw me on the floor and started to kick me. I was already use to this, maybe not the pain but getting hit by my asshole of a father yeah.

“Do it again and you’ll regret it.” He spat and then walked out my room while slamming the door. I got up and whipped the blood off of my lip, I went into my bathroom to fix myself up and change into my ‘Dining’ clothes. I hate my life…

After I took a shower and fixed myself up I heard my sister calling me.

“Imogene! Dinners ready.” She yelled. I fixed my hair up a bit and then went downstairs; if I didn’t look presentable I wouldn’t get any food. I went down into the dining area and sat down. My mother and sister Jenna were already seated waiting for my father so we could look at what there was on the menu. It was a bit ridiculous but my mother and father thought it would be nice to make it seem like we were in a restaurant. I father stormed in with an angry expression.

“Where’s Angela?” He asked. And right when he asked that she walked in the room.

“ANGELA! How come Imogene’s backpack is lying on the floor in the hallway? You were supposed to pick that up!” He informed her rudely. I could see that Angela looked scared and she didn’t know what to say. I knew she didn’t want to blow my cover, she knew about my father beating me regularly. The room was silent and I just decided to speak up.

“Dad, I told her not to. Just leave her alone…” I said while looking down at my lap. I could feel his brown eyes staring at me in anger.

“Is this true Angela?” He asked. I looked up a little and saw her nod her head reluctantly fast. She rushed off and my father took a seat. I already know what’s going to happen after I finish my food. My mother and sister being the fucking assholes they are, they laughed at me. They knew what was going to happen, I just ignored them and looked at the menu.  William came by and asked what we would have.

“Um…” I said in a low voice but before I could actually speak I was interrupted.

“Excuse me William I would like some lobster with butter on the side and a small slice of salmon please.” Jenna spoke up and gave me an evil smirk. She’s the worst sister you could have.

“I would like a bowl of caviar and Paris’ finest slice of bread.” My mother spoke.

“And William I would like some chicken breast with a side salad please.” My dad spoke.

“William is there any pizza?” I asked. William looked at me and shook his head no.

“She’ll have a small salad also; she doesn’t need to gain anymore weight.” My mother spoke. I wanted to cry, but that wouldn’t do anything but make me look like a giant baby. William left with our orders and left us to speak.

“So how’s school dear?” My mom asked Jenna.

“It’s great. I’m passing all my classes!” She smiled that fake little smile, she’s a devil.

“What about you Imogene?” My father looked up already knowing the answer. That was the thing about my dad, he loves to embarrass people.

“I’m failing my classes.” I looked down in shame. I heard Jenna burst out laughing. William came back in and poured some champagne into all of our glass cups.

“Dad, why did you have to get mom pregnant with Imogene? You guys were perfectly fine with just me.” Jenna smirked. I rolled my eyes in disgust of her presents.

“Can I be excused?” I asked.

“Yes dear. You need to skip a few meals anyway.” My mom said.

“Yeah leave, this dinner will finally go well.” My sister spoke. I glared at her and then stormed up to my room. I heard footsteps following me but didn’t know who it was.

I went inside my room and lay on my bed. A few seconds later my dad comes in, he’s unbuttoning his shirt.

“Imogene you’ve been a bad girl and deserve a punishment.” He started to remove his clothing.

“What are you doing? “ I asked, I was scared for what was about to happen. He pinned me to the bed and reached up my skirt, I could feel the warm salty tears sliding down my face. I already knew what was going to happen, and then….everything went black.
