Art has always been in her blood. He loved the scratch of pen against paper, and the soothing strokes of the brush on the canvas. They called, him ugly names for having such an infatuation. He had to sneak into the room and we his own avoid suspicion. He was pushed to having excuses such as late football practice, or even detention.
All of that was thrown out the window when his pen scratches had lulled him to sleep one day in the afternoon coziness of the school art room.
He woke up to the smirk of Avery Collins, in all her dirty blonde, leather jacket glory.
She smirked as she said, "Who would have ever thought, Daniel King, head quarterback would like painting rainbows and sticking colored pencis up his..."

As I turned my head back I was met with the splatter of maroon paint to my pristine white t-shirt. I was broken out of my confusion with the sound of giggles and laughter, as I looked up to see Avery Collins. Gasping. For. Air.

I went for the nearest color I could reach, which just happened to be hot pink, and flicked it over her face, blending beautifully with her freckles.
"You'll regret that." She said has she went for the baby blue paint.
"Ever thought of dying your hair blue?" She p as she spread the paint along her fingers.

Our dalliance has gone on for nearly an hour before all we could do is gasp for another breath, and stare at each other.
Irises full of promises.
We slowly made our way over to each other. Hardly able to keep ourselves on our feet. We held each other in our arms. Never quite giving up control.
