The cookie scheme

The realization

It was a bright and sunny day where I lived. Terrible weather conditions to have been locked inside your house, so then my friend and I decided it would be fun to go to the mall. Little did we know the horrors that awaited us that pleasant day.

Once we arrived at the mall we stopped at our usual stores looking at anime merchandise and comic books and as usual we go to the well know book store known as Barnes and Noble. We both bought some books that day. It was a fairly good day until we got our receipts handed back to us. When we saw what was handed back immediately the cashier said the words that now strikes fear into my hear. The cashier said, " we have a special deal going on in our cafe it's buy one cookie get one free." Little did we know the evils of that deal.

We at first took the bait just as any person would and got ourselves a drink and two cookie paying only the amount for one cookie. Just as we payed for our cookie that came with a free one again the same words to us again as they handed us our receipts. "We have a special deal buy on cookie get one free." We took the bait once again spending money we never intended to spend just to get a free cookie.

Soon we realized what evils leaked in this deal but by that time is was far too late as we had spent our money on just gaining free cookies while paying for the other cookie. That day we left sad and in despair as we were fools playing into the trap so clear to me now. And so we vowed never to fall into that trap again. Little did we know this was far more than a mere scheme to gain more money but for it was way worse.
