Hi everyone this is my first story so please be gentle. I hope you enjoy my short story
**
Five hundred years before, unknown to most, a war raged between dragon clans and other mythical creatures.
The conflict was based in the belief that the dragons were superior to all other creatures that roamed the earth alongside them.
The years prior to the war, the other creatures grew tired of the contempt and ridicule from the dragons. They rose up together and took them down, all that was left of the dragon's kingdom was blood and ash.
The years after the take down of the dragons the leaders of all the different creatures came together and formed The Council that put rules in place to keep the balance of power between these different creatures stable.
And from the ashes rose the dragon king in his arms was the only heir he had.
Traveling under the radar of the council he met with a witch that he knew could help him.
When he arrived at the witches hovel with his last breath begged them to protect his child,the Last dragon.
