Young love

The Evans family was sitting in their living room after dinner Duncan and Courtney were watching the news and Roxanne was on her phone

Roxanne wouldn't stop giggling for the past 10 minutes they told her to be quite she did, but then it started all over again

"Damn Roxanne what is so funny?!" Duncan said clearly irritated

"Nothing nothing, sorry!" She said still smiling

Duncan looked at Courtney and gave her a look that meant she needs to go

"Roxanne why don't you go upstairs, me and you dad need to talk.." she said looking at her daughter with her onyx eyes

"Hehe okay." She said giggling even more when she got up heading for the stairs

Once Roxanne got upstairs and they heard her door shut Duncan spoke up

"Is our daughter going crazy or something?!" Duncan said with worry

Courtney laughed "I hope not but I think I know what's going on.."

"What please tell me.!" He pleaded she smiled at her husband

"I think she has a boyfriend.." she said with a smirk

Duncan smirked "I wouldn't be surprised, she did inherit you stunning looks and curves.." he said wiggling his eyebrows

"Not now Duncan, should we talk to her about it?" She said with a blush spread across tan cheeks

"I mean yeah, sure but she might not want to tell us.." he said

"She'll tell me" Courtney said smiling

"Roxanne honey can we talk to you for a minute please?" She shouted from downstairs to her daughter

"Yes, hehe" she said giggling

"We would like to ask you if you have a boyfriend" Courtney said calmly

Roxanne's eyes shot wide open and she turned crimson red

"N-no!" She shouted stuttering because her parents found out her dirty secret

"Do you have a boyfriend yes or no.." Duncan said standing beside Courtney making Roxanne more scared

"Fine, yes I do his name is Reznor.." she admitted

The stress seemed to fall away from Duncan and Courtney but wanted to know more

"Who's his father?" Duncan said rapping a arm around Courtney's waist

"Trent, Trent Nelson" she said calmly looking into her fathers teal eyes

Duncan stumbled a bit when he heard that name but soon got his posture back and stood up giving Courtney a look

"And who is his mother..?" She said as if she really wanted to know

"Gwendolyn Nelson.." she said confused by the look on their faces by hearing those names

"What's wrong?" She said looking at her parents

Duncan sighed and spoke "do you love him?" He asked

"umm- yeah" she said still giving them strange looks

this was when Duncan snapped remembering all the times he was broken as a teen

"what do you know about love it's so stupid your only 14 Roxanne!?" He asked looked angry

"Duncan don't be so rude about this it's okay.." she said trying to calm down her fuming husband

"You and mom fell in love when you were young you guys were 16?!" She said trying to reason with her father

"Your just going to be broken, young relationships don't last long!!" He said yelling at his daughter

Roxanne felt hot tears build up in her eyes she refused to cry in front of her father, but they came down her cheeks she ran upstairs slamming her door and throwing herself on her bed crying

When Roxanne ran upstairs Duncan realized what he had done he looked at his wife who was upset with him

"Great job Duncan now we have to deal with this!!" She said stomping upstairs to go comfort her daughter

"Hey honey.." she said softly opening the door slowly

"g-go a-away" Roxanne stuttered

Courtney came to her bed and sat next to her daughter

"Your dad didn't really mean those things he just- has been broken in the past when he was younger and he didn't want you to go through the same thing.." Courtney said rubbing her daughters back

"He's not that n-nice" Roxanne said

"I can be.." Duncan said from the doorway

Duncan walked over to his daughter and lifted her chin so she could face him

"Look Roxanne I didn't mean what I said earlier, I thought about it and you were right I fell in love with you mom when I was young but that just led to broken hearts and I didn't want you to go though the same thing" Duncan said wiping the tears off his daughters face

"So I can stay with my boyfriend, the guy I love" she said smiling now

"Yes you can stay with your little boyfriend" he said hugging his daughter

Courtney couldn't help but smile at her family and how lucky she was to have a happy, funny, caring family such as this one

Duncan winked at her and she hugged Roxanne too and led her back downstairs were they let her laugh all she wanted while Duncan and Courtney snuggled together on the couch happy that their daughter was happy
