It's a bit embarrassing really, being heartbroken over a relationship that... was never going to go anywhere. Clyde knew that she didn't really love him and it was all just for show. He knew she was using him as an accessory, but he still felt hurt. It's not like he's never been in a relationship before, he just thought that this relationship was the one for him.
Clyde really felt no motivation to do anything or even leave his dorm. He was going through a little depression. Normally studying wouldn't bother him, but almost everything reminded him of her. The library table they studied at together, the lecture hall they would go to hand in hand, the tree that they had kissed under...
It was all a bit too much for him. For most of the week he hadn't attended any classes and had his friends and roommates bring him work and notes he missed. He was grateful that people were even helping him over something as dumb as this.
Clyde sighed and picked up his glasses from his nightstand, messily placing them on his face. "I guess I should study," he mumbled to himself, shuffling out of bed, the duvet still covering most of his body. All his roommates were out (most likely in class), and he was all alone in the dorm. It was a bit quiet, but he needed the alone time.
Clyde couldn't really focus on the text placed in front of him, and before he knew it, the sun was beginning to set. He wouldn't have noticed if the sunset didn't cast a deep orange light on his book. Clyde sighed and took his glasses off to rub his eyes with one hand. Why was he acting this way over some girl? It's not the end of the world, and there are plenty of fish in the sea. Would he actually die a virg—
Before Clyde could continue his thoughts, one of his roommates returned to the dorm room. "Yo, you're still in here? You haven't left in like... a week," the boy said, lowering his eyebrows at Clyde, who looked rather disheveled in the duvet. "Listen," Clyde started. "Maybe you haven't had long lasting relationships or even any to begin with, but it's hard Vit."
The other boy seemed offended and pouted. "Hey I'm not the one who got dumped!" Clyde merely frowned at this response. Vitta moves towards his bed and flopped down on it. "You'll get over it eventually..." he mumbled. Just then, the door clicked open. "Ah, I'm sorry if I interrupted something," a small voice said at the doorway. "I just wanted to pick up some tools and head back out to the garden."
Clyde chuckled. "You don't need to apologize for walking into your own room, Mile." Chamomile smiled sheepishly and walked into the room with small steps, picking up whatever he needed from his part of the room. Before leaving he quickly turned around. "Clyde, maybe you should try going outside soon, it's a Friday and you'll probably get sick if you stay in here forever you know," Chamomile suggested worriedly. "At least go for a walk or come visit the garden, I feel bad seeing you like this all the time."
Clyde shook his head and smiled weakly. "I'll get over it."
Chamomile smiled back, clearly still worried for his roommate and began to close the door. Before closing it completely he looks at Vitta. "Oh! I forgot to mention, some kids from class decided to throw a party outside of campus and they asked if any of us wanted to go. I'll be in the garden all night tonight so I said I couldn't make it but I told them I'd tell you guys. I had them text you the address just in case you wanted to go," Chamomile smiled. Vitta's eyes seemed to light up. "You're such a good friend Mile~"
Chamomile giggled and waved goodbye to his roommates before closing the door quietly, leaving Clyde and Vitta in silence.
"Hey," Vitta said casually, poking Clyde's duvet covered shoulder. "You should come with me."
Clyde looked at him as if his roommate was insane. "No?? Why would I go? Plus what if she's there? I can't look at her right now..." Clyde trailed off. Vitta rolled his eyes. "Dude, who cares? You gotta get outside, and I'll be with you, so even if she is there I'll be sure to stay by you," Vitta said happily. "Plus, there's gonna be some drinks so you'll at least feel a little better, yeah?"
