Wake up, go to school, come home, do homework, eat, and go to bed. I plan out my day while humming happy birthday to myself, and tying my shoelaces around my ankles.

I run around the house shifting between doing my chore and grabbing stuff for my day. I slip on my galaxy sweatshirt, very rarely do I actually take it off. I'm not much of a jacket person and it doesn't usually matter the weather. This would probably be fine but on this special day they're calling for snow, so I'm going to be cold while I wait for the bus. That means for today, it's just little white flakes of suck instead of snow. I guess it's a little out of season to be snowing but I honestly don't care anymore. I glance out the glass storm door and expect to see people at the bus stop. Instead, I'm greeted with my bus closing its doors and driving away.

Nice...I think while I put my backpack on my other shoulder and grabbing whatever is in arms reach. I guess I'm late for the bus today. I sigh, and I actually thought that I was in a good position today.

I walk outside and across the street to the bus stop. I seriously wish that bus driver would be reliable and pick a time frame she can stick with. I sit down by the stop sign and watch my breath look like little clouds in the air until they fade away. I look at the frosted grass, and the rooftops, it's almost beautiful. I probably sat there for a few minutes just taking in the cold and snow. Then I got reminded of the hell known as school, when I saw the bus start to slow down and come to a stop. I got up with a groan and started towards it.

Once I get on, I'm greeted with the usual. Kids acting up and the bus driver screaming into the intercom. I shuffle by all the middle schoolers, to where the high schoolers sit. I quickly find my seat and sit down. The one rule I have in any social area is to avoid all eye contact. Especially since I have a strong disliking to kids and I don't feel like getting into a conversation, but I try not to make it apparent. So to prevent me from setting fire to this bus, I put in earbuds, turn up the volume and let my music play especially loud.

The ride on the bus generally is filled with kids yelling, the occasional food passing, and sometimes people will sing. Not orderly or anything, in fact it's more like yelling on the top of their lungs in a decently organized fashion and the thing they just so happen to be yelling is a song.

I didn't really realize how much time had gone by, but before I knew it we are at the middle school, and the middle schoolers have to get off the bus. The good thing about this is that generally the bus gets 10 times quieter. We spend no longer than 5 minutes there. Then we are headed to the high school. Honestly before you get used to the silence, we are at the high school and it's my turn to get off the bus.

This day already sucks I think as I get up and wait for a opening. I step into the isle and make my to the front, if my day is already like this, it can't get much worse, right? I mean, it's my birthday at least fate could give me a little slack. I get off the bus and within a ten foot departure, I trip on a untied shoelace.
