Click, click, click.

A small void holding nothing but silence and any sounds made was familiar to her. She lived here, after all. She focused intently on her little project, not needing to look around. It was all void anyways.

Click, click, click.

She often wondered what the world was like now. Often wondered if dragons were real, and perhaps hiding among the cities in small, human disguises. She wondered if any aliens were on the planet. She wouldn't know, either way.

Click, click, click.

She didn't mind working on the project at all, why would she? The only thing she minded was that the little clicks emanating from the materials were spreading around her, enveloping her and swallowing her whole. Every little sound echoed endlessly.

Silence.

She sets the project down. Her soul needs a break from the devouring clicks. She lays down and lets her mind drift off, just as she and her project drifted through the void. A void she did not know, yet was all too familiar.

Breathe in, breathe out.

And now, the only sound was the soft breaths she took, small and without echo. They were far more relaxing to hear, gentle breaths of cold and warmth at the same time. The void swallowed the sound of her breaths rather than the sound swallowing her.

Breathe in, breathe out.

She closes her eyes, letting the true darkness consume her, her mind, her soul. Her body was already consumed, always consumed. She allowed herself to be consumed by the silence of this void for just a while. She simply needed a rest, just for now.
