Once upon a time
There was a king with 4 wives
One day
The king got sick
And he layed on his deathbed.
He was afraid.
Afraid of living in the afterlife
Alone.
So he called his fourth wife.
He loved his fourth wife the most
He bought her
Diamonds
Gold
Made her beautiful.
He asked
Will you accompany me to the afterlife?
She said
I'm sorry
I can't do that.
And walked away.
Then, he called his third wife
The one he showed to other kingdoms.
He asked her
Will you accompany me to the afterlife?
She said
I love my life too much.
I'm sorry
I can't do that.
When you die
I'm going to remarry.
His second wife
has always been there
In his times of need.
So he called her over.
He asked
Will you accompany me to the afterlife?
She said
I'm sorry that I can't help you this time.
But what I can do
Is arrange your funeral
And be there.
And so she walked away.
Then, a voice called out
And said
I'll leave with you
And follow you wherever you go
Even if it is to the afterlife.
The king looked
And saw his first wife.
This was the wife
He cared about
And looked after
Least.
He felt embarrassed
And said
I'm sorry
I should've taken better care of you.
The moral is
We all have these four
'Wives'
In our life.
The fourth wife
Is our body.
We make it beautiful
And buy it expensive things
To look good.
But
We cannot bring it with us
To the afterlife.
The third wife
Is our possessions.
We spend so much time
Building up our possessions
And showing them around.
And eventually
They get handed to other people
Like the second wife who is getting
Remarried after he dies.
But alas
We cannot bring them
To the afterlife.
The second wife
Is our
Friends and family.
They are always there for us
But we cannot take them
To the afterlife.
And lastly
Our first wife
Is our soul.
We spend so much time
On our
Friends
Family
Possessions
And body
That we forget
To take care of
Our soul.
But our soul
Is the only thing that can accompany us
To the afterlife.
So take care of your soul
For it is the only thing
You will have
In the afterlife.
