The blonde male looked around the area. Looking for a human or something that he could drink. He was tired as he had been trying to get to a different place for months. Promising his mom he would be back in at least 7 years. His nose smelling the blood of a human, his heart thumbing as he left into an alley as he ran and ran. Then he found her. A red haired girl on the tiles of the floor outside of a wolf bar in forks, he noticed the crest around her neck and even when it looked like an unusual version of the Cullen crest he knew it was the Cullen crest. She was barely moving as the bite in her neck was big as he saw a wolf on his knees on the steps. Her blood on his lips. "I- I didn't mean to. She just...was there" the boy said as he seemed pretty upset about what happened. James just nodded and took off to his house as fast as he could before leaving her by the porch and taking off again. Ringing the door bell so she would be found.
It took him another two weeks before he came home. And when he did she was sitting by the front door. Her red hair on her shoulders as she was reading one of the many books he had seen lying around the house. She looked like jasper, he realized that. "hello?" he asked as she looked up. "hi" she just said as he saw the bite marks in her neck. Carlisle had put a bandage over the deep bite. But he still remembered that night. "you almost were dinner." He thought but kept that thought to himself. "I didn't know that we also adopted humans now" he said stupid move james. He thought later. The girl got up quick wittedly "what makes you think I am adopted?" she asked. She was tiny, not Alice tiny but petite. "You have a heartbeat, if you were a child like me and Arya, You would be undead. You wouldn't have a heartbeat at all" he said as confusion definitely played a role in his tone. As she just scoffed. "I am jasper and alice their daughter, biological. And no I am not human cause if I were I would be younger!" she said and headed inside. Alice must have been pregnant when he left he suddenly thought. When he came inside he saw his mother, father and little sister. Rosalie immediately went to her eldest an hugged him. His eyes were red but she didn't bother asking him. "You'll go back to our diet yeah?" she asked him. He just gave a nod. Not because he didn't care; because he did care. He cared a lot and especially about her. But because he didn't know if he would ever be able to.
That evening it was Jasper who went inside his daughter's room. Even when he didn't feel how she felt he always knew if something was going on with her. "ally?" he asked kindly. "Come in" she said and moved up. Putting one of the books on her knees. That was how she spend most of her time, reading, alone in her room. "You were silent during dinner, I am assuming something is wrong. Or at least on your mind, so if you want to you can tell me" he said not hurrying her up knowing this would just discomfort the girl a lot. "Am I adopted? Or am I not your child? Because James –" "James left when mom just found out she was pregnant. He didn't know" he said cutting her off. "He just, assumed that you were cause of this" his hand on her chest, on the place where he could feel her warm heart pump the blood through her face yet like all the undead she had a porcelain white skin. He took her hands in his, and because their sleeves were rolled up you could see the different scars. For her red scratches from her first full moon that happened two days after being bitten, for him it were the bite marks of the battle. They fit – as some would say like father like daughter. And despite her having her mothers human eye colour. The rest was all closer to jasper. Always had been even when she had just been a child. "I love you dad." She spoke before hugging him. He moved her close and kissed her hair. "I love you too" he whispered. He left the room after a little while and headed up the stairs as Allison got up. When she left her room she saw James 'training' witth Emmett. He was no longer wearing a shirt. And even when it looked like fun and games she couldn't help but notice the bite marks in James his torso. Wondering why he had them. But when she started to think too much she felt how Arya got behind her. "I haven't seen you all day" Allison said. "I went to La Push" Arya spoke which made her heart drop. She grabbed Arya her arm. "the land of the wolves, Arya Emmett would kill you if he found out" Arya let out a sigh. "I saw your alpha" She spoke. "He was odd to me, protective, as if he had—" "Imprinted on you?" Allison her voice was soft. Caring. "That." She said. "He could've" Allison said. "it is always possible" She added remembering how Tristan always spoke of imprinting. How he envied the ones who did, including his brother Sam. Who had Emily.
