The grassland was eerily at peace. The birds weren't chirping, the wind wasn't blowing, the grass wasn't moving. The water did not flow, it was still and the winding shape of the water had become a slow movement that could hardly be distinguished in that inhospitable and chilling place. Restless silence ran across the earth making a sinister harmony.
The human species had installed their weathered tents a few weeks ago to take the best strategic position; a high place where humans could see the entire area, controlling the situation and making sure that everything went according to plan. They were in the north side of the valley.
Their red tents, armour, and flags all had the emblem of a triangle representing perfection as humans were a species that liked having everything under control. They lived in the north-west island, Gladsland, it was a big island separated in two parts: Chatay and Trisis. Trisis was a land that was worked by low-class people dedicated to rural life. They were poor, but lived well despite their class. They were very firm and never gave up when they had a goal, they worked hard and put a lot of effort into their work. In Chatay, people were from the high class and they had modern technology; they also created machines that could fight for them, however, Chatayans practiced the art of war. They were as good at fighting as they were using technology. Many Trisians didn't want to be a separate class, treated differently from the other members of the species. They desired equality. They wanted everyone to have the same respect and the same way of living as the Chatayan people. A few Trisians thought that they were living a good life, they were the ones who didn't want to open their eyes and see that they could break the class system they were living under because of the little amount of dignity they possessed. And finally, other Trisisians called "Kamerdikaans" wanted to live in their own state separated and independent from Chatay so that they were free to do anything they wanted. But Chatayans didn't want Trisians to be separated from them because Trisians worked for Chatayans.
The wind was blowing harder and harder, suddenly, the velvet flap of a tent from the nobility opened. A girl wearing a metal armour breastplate with an engraved triangle stepped out from the tent. She had dark hair and green eyes, she was beautiful and brawny. She was carrying a bow forged with magic and embroidered with a pattern of gold and white lines, she also carried on her back a quiver of oak with many arrows. The girl had many scars and wounds, it seemed she had been training a lot and that she had fought in many battles. The beautiful girl tied her hair back and she put her helmet on. Her gauntlets were fine and short, they were made of iron. That type of gauntlets served to provide her with more handling of the bow and to go unnoticed before any enemy. Her sabatons were big and long, they were made of brass; a metal that was stronger than copper. She also had a tough plackart that protected by a magic spell that only special weapons could break. The pauldron was the part of the armor situated on the shoulder, it was a very important part because it supported much of the armor.
She walked dragging her feet while looking straight ahead with a serious face; those around her could see how she resisted the exhaustion that wore her down. She walked between the soldiers and she stayed in the middle of the cavalry. The girl fell down but grabbed the forearm of a knight in the front row. She stood up and continued walking. A strong breeze caressed her face leaving goose bumps. She looked around the place and visualized the situation.
The trolls-horrible looking green creatures with large fangs and the worst enemies of the humans-were on the south side of the valley. They were the most dangerous species for the humans because they only used brute force. At the same time the humans were also the most dangerous enemies for the trolls because they used their intelligence to fight and that was a disadvantage for the trolls. The trolls were enormous and intimidating when they were in front of an opponent. Their dirty, broken, and ripped tents were also green, like them, and had a big square emblem that represented their force and strength. They were sturdy as a tree trunk and strong as a rock, but they were also slow as an insignificant snail.
