A Meeting

Buzz Buzz a phone sitting on a desk was vibrating aloud as a school class was going on.

The person that owned the phone picked it up looking at it. The phone had a wallpaper on a

alien with a galaxy fox at the bottom, a floating icon with a 1 next to it indicated that a message was waiting to be opened.
A finger had taped the

icon popping up a number of messages, the notice was from a group chat of six people. A icon

that looked like a open book had said "Where are we meeting at?" only two people have seen the

message so the owner decided to not say anything yet, putting down the phone and groaning. He was wearing a black hoodie with green sleeves, also it had a glitched purple circle with the bottom of the circle darker than the top. He had some jeans with chains on the right side of them and a pair of grey sneakers, his hair was light brown with the tips dyed purple.

"Psst, Hey Sean." The one with the black hoodie turned to his left to see a girl with long dark

brown hair, Green eyes, and freckles wearing a dark blue long-sleeve shirt under a black

short-sleeve cat shirt, her pants were a cyan pair of jeans aquated by some turquoise sneakers.

The girl pointed to her phone mouthing the words " Look at chat" so Sean pulled out his

phone once again now seeing the new text saying "IDK isn't Sean the leader, he should be the one to say."
It was Layla that said it because it had a galaxy icon next to the text. Making Sean furious so he typed "We never voted on that

decision so any one is plus I don't think we need a person over 5 other people." Sean's icon was a fox sleeping. He saw that 4 people had seen the

message with 1 texting so Sean laded his head down on his desk waiting for the next comment.
Sure enough 2 mins later a icon with a music note (eighth note) identifying that Chance was the on that texted saying "I agree with Sean but we do need to know when and where to meet at." As soon as Sean got through reading it another one popped up with a horizon picture which Sean knew was Alex. "We can meet at my treehouse in the woods after school if everyone is free?" Sean could not think of a better place to be at because

the treehouse that Alex owned was tall with a ladder that could be pulled all the way up and it

had bridges to other treehouses that had different stuff in each.

The first person to say anything had a gecko icon saying "Well I agree but can someone please tell me WHY YOU ARE TEXTING IN MATH SEAN! You are failing the class and if Mom found out that

that's the reason why, she is going to take your phone away." His little sister Shelby said. Sean

knew the consequences but didn't care so he sent a sure to Alex and a shrug to Shelby with the words "Your acting like Tyler~" Shelby sent a bad

gesture as everyone else was saying there oks to

going to the treehouse.

The rest of the school day was boring with small conversations here and the in the group chat til lunch had came,we decided to meet also at lunch but see with people having "super powers" schools had to take every precaution there was in case any thing got out of hand. The group all met at their tree outside the school, when Sean finally arrive (he is always the last one

cause his class is farther) he saw Layla, his brother Tyler, his sister Shelby, Chance, and Alex.

Chance and Shelby were in the tree eating their lunch with Tyler and Alex under the tree, Layla

was standing up waving at Sean. Sean sat down next to Layla which was a little bit farther than where his brother and Alex were.

Chance and Shelby were pink in the face when they looked at each other which everyone knew

they liked one another, Tyler was reading a book that had a owl on it considering that he was a

book worm he was tall with a sleeveless orange and grey hoodie with blue jeans on, he had blue eyes with his hair brown but the tips blue like his

brothers.

"So the reason I wanted us to call a meeting was to talk about our powers.... but I forgot about lunch." Tyler said not taking his face out of his book. Shelby almost choked on her food when Tyler spoke. "How could you forget about lunch?! It's the thing that keeps you alive!" She looked like she was going to jump out of the tree to tackle Tyler. "Well as you should know I was in my

favorite class, Art." Shelby went back to eating but gave Tyler a nasty look before stuffing her face into a piece of cornbread.

Sean was eating a chicken sandwich when Alex had said with a curious look "Why do we need to talk about our powers?" Tyler put down is book

and reached into his book bag pulling out paper with a picture of each of us drawn on them, they had different slots for information "Why?!"
Chance said, he did not have a power but a extra body part which was a cat like tail. He was

wearing a bright blue jacket that was unzipped to show a grey shirt that said sleep, he also had

saggy black pants on with light blue sneakers.
"Because if we want to find out why all this happened and how we need to know how each of

us is useful for the team. Layla had grabbed the papers faster than a striking snake "We can't tell people about this! They might think weirdly of us." Alex nodded while eating some broccoli and cheese which was his favorite dish. "If we show this to people they might think we are up to something." Tyler grabbed the papers back from Layla. "Or if they even take a glimpse of it from the side." Sean added looking around at the people walking and mingling with each other. Chance twitched his tail making it wrap around the tree branch that he was sitting on. "We already have bullies on us... We don't need another fault for them."
They ate in silence for a few mins before the lunch bell rang. Sean started to collect the lunch trays so he could throw them away. "Sean. Could I speak with you." Layla said looking nervous like, Sean didn't know if it was just drama she wanted to tell him but when it comes to Layla you can't tell.
"Sure just let me-" Layla grabbed his arm dragging him to the trash can so he could deposit the trays. Once he did he turned to her looking almost eye level at her. Sean was taller by 4 inches considering Layla was 5'3.
"So what's up?" Sean question her. She looked really depressed but to Sean's eyes... She was cute. He kept thinking about him and her being a thing. Images floated in his mind. Wait I can't think about her like that?! She's my friend... No more. He kept saying this in his mind til he realized that she was still in front of him. Sean remember why he was here, pushing the thoughts to the back of his head.
"Sean..." Layla looked up at him, her beautiful​ green eyes staring up at his. He could not help but to smile. "Sean." She repeated still staring at him. "Yes?" Sean was hoping it was what he wanted it to be. "Your to close." Sean saw that he had inched closer to her without​ knowing.
He jumped backwards blushing. "SORRY! I-I didn't mean to, I uh was trying to..." He was trying to think of a reason cause he could not tell her the real reason.
Layla giggled "Your fine but we are late for class." Sean pulled out his phone and it was 12:40 pm, class started at 12:35. "Fuck I'm sorry I have to go if my mom found out that I'm late to class she'll kill me."
Layla smiled and pulled out her phone. "Ok but I'll text you what I was trying to say." As she said this she pointed at her phone. "O-ok." Sean's heart was racing he was scared of what will happen next.
