THE DREAMS

October 30

9pm

Los Angeles

The party starts at about 10pm so i need to start getting ready and get the mask on my face. This year I'm doing my eye shot out, I liked it the first time I did it in 2017. I had an allergic reaction to it then, but honestly, it was totally worth it.

"Hey Kade!" Nina yelled after the Halloween party, "You goin' home?"
"Yeah," I responded, "what up?"

"Ethan wants to know if you wanna go to my bar for a bit."

"Yeah, I'll text him!" I yelled to her as I walked toward my car.

I got home and my house seemed erie. I lived in Los Angeles, California, at the time, and Nina's bar was in Beverly Hills, California, so it was invite only. Nina called me and let me know I was on the list for the night. I got out of my Halloween Costume I wore to the party and got in some nice clothes. I was ready for my night to continue.

I got to the bar and it was still dark, so I called Nina and asked here where she was, "Hey, I'm in the back. Sorry I'm hanging up some better lights, I don't like the green bullshit."

Beverly Hills

It was an hour later that we finally got everything hooked up, Ethan, Travis, and Ivan showed up about 10 to 15 minutes after me and helped. We strung up probably 10,000 feet of lights. Nina flipped the switch and the whole bar was basked in a red, orange, and purple hue across everywhere. We knew the night was gonna be dope, at least, we thought it was gonna be.

Nina's bar was Halloween themed, and she had the idea since she was a kid. We always talked about her doing it but we never thought it would happen. One day, after I moved to Long Beach for school, she asked me to design her bar logo, and I was stoked to do it. I did it and made it all Halloween themed, and thought nothing about it. There were a bunch of Satanic symbols over it, a pentagram, and the Devil himself. Me and Nina thought it was dope.

"Ivan, stop being a bitch." I told him because he was complaining about some lights flickering.

"I'm not being the bitch. Those lights shouldn't be flickering. It's Halloween night and we're surrounded by Satanic symbols. Don't you think that could be related together?"

"Thought you didn't believe in that stuff, bruh?" I asked him annoyed.

"I don't but none of this adds up."
