I take a deep breath letting the salty ocean scent and the feel of the ocean breeze envelop me. It was a time where I finally felt calm. I take a step forward as I step in the damp sand, the ocean coming up to meet my feet. I smile as I jump up, turning to face the ocean that just swept from under my feet, it was unexpected. I look down to see my jeans drenched with the ocean water. I shrug to myself before stepping into the water slowly; it was as cold as ice. As soon as my one leg warms up to the coldness, I decide to step my other leg in the same, familiar coldness appears as I slowly insert my feet into the water. As the bottom of my foot reaches the bottom of the shallow water, only to step on something smooth and slippery, causing me to freak out falling back into water. I was all covered in water now. I regain my breath only to feel that the smooth slippery thing was still on the bottom of my foot and i freak out again crawling backwards towards the shore. As I reach the shore I look at the bottom of my foot ready to remove what ever was on my foot, only to see that it was a clam.
"A clam?"
I study it carefully before reaching down to try to remove it from my foot but it just wouldn't budge. I sat there as my foot rested on my lap. I grab the clam with two hands trying to pull it off of my foot but it still wouldn't budge. I begin hitting the clam forcefully not knowing what else to do. I find myself gasping as it sticks to my hand instead. I shake my hand trying to get it off of me but nothing worked. I walked up to a small rocky cliff that was behind me. The clam and the rocky cliff meet as I begin pounding my hand against the rocky cliff; I hoped that I was able to crack the clam open or get it to stick to the cliff instead.
After about 30 minutes of trying nothing worked I throw myself down into the sand, the clam still attached to my right hand. I sigh as I look down at the clam, a little bit mad but an easing feeling came across me as I watch it more and more. "What's so special about me?" I laugh internally as I get up slowly, dusting the sand off me. "If you won't get off of me I guess your going to have to come home with me." I pick up my shoes that were further up from the sandy beach. I study the ground as I walk, as it was pitch black. I carefully walk back to my car before getting in it, I search around the car for my keys before finding it in the back seat. I grab the keys before starting the car.
The wind blew in my face, the clean scent of the air that you could only find in these circumstances, the city was so crowded and the air didn't feel this good to inhale. The glance at the radio the clock shone 11:57pm as i sigh, taking my left hand rubbing my forehead stressfully. I had work tomorrow. All of a sudden I could feel something move in my hand. I forgot that I even had a clam on my hand. I glance at it trying not to freak out. I stare at it before the clam starts to slowly open. I gasp not knowing what to do. As it opens up the more I start to freak out, the honking in front of me being un noticed since I was to focused on the thing in front of me. The honking became loud as I look up immediately to see a huge truck come towards me. I scream as I'm now not focused on the clam, I take my left hand and jerk the wheel the opposite direction only to cause friction between the road and the car, causing it to flip over. I didn't have time to process that the car was flipping over. The last thing that flooded my vision was the sight of my right hand laying in front of me in the passenger seat. The clam had fully opened, showing a pearl. I smile to myself as my vision blacks out completely.
