Free?

Free we may be, but how free might that be?

You could tell us we were freed, but how could that be?

For as I see the separation still stands between you and me

So how free could we truly be since segregation still stands between you and me?

We the free?

How could that be if there's no equality between you and me?

For as I see we may never be free if you chose to leave the inequality between you and me.

inequality is embodied by the imbalance of pay

So how can we be free if we can't even support a family?

Continue like this we can not

So as of now we shall leave

Leave in search of the place we seek

Hoping to find our futures peak
