Poseidon and Percy#1 Sick Day

Percy's POV

My alarm clock went off and as usual, I hit it multiple times. I was about to get up and get dressed but instead ran to a bucket in the corner of the cabin. I think you may know what happened. I came back to bed and just as I laid back down in bed, my cabin door burst open and my sister, Andi, came in. "Yo, Perc... whoa what is that smell?!" I simply pointed to the bucket across the room and she took the hint. "Percy, you're sick?" I looked up at her and responded sarcastically "Of no I just threw up for the Tartarus of it. What do you think?" Andi rolled her eyes and said "Well I know you're sick, but what I mean is, how? I thought you bathed in the River Styx isn't that supposed to give you immunity to, I don't know, everything!?" "Well, I guess apparently not every sickness." I returned tucking back into bed. "Do I need to get one of the Apollo kids or maybe Chiron because I don't think this is normal." I shook my head and said, "Nah, I'll be fine just give me a day or two and I'll be bouncing off walls like you do when you get too much sugar." Andi smiled and was about to kiss my forehead when she backed away "You know on second thought I don't want to get sick. I'll see you later. I'll tell Chiron and Mr. D that you have some personal matters to deal with." I sleepily let out a "thanks" and with that, she shut the door.

A week later...

I was still sicker than a guinea pig that had too much ice cream. I think I had gotten worse over the week. Andi wanted to tell Chiron or Mr. D or the Apollo kids, but I told her I wouldn't or I would let loose what happened in September of 2014 (another story for another time). Andi reluctantly kept her mouth shut, but I knew she wanted to tell them. Instead she would just bring me stuff when I needed them.

One day I had asked Andi to bring me some of mom's blue chocolate chip cookies (our favorite). I had been waiting for an hour, but I knew there were some in our secret hiding place in the woods unless she ate them all. Eventually I heard the opening of the door and I said thinking it was my sister "Did you go to mom's to get those cookies?" but instead of Andi's voice a new powerful voice answered "Well I don't think your mother would want me showing up at her house asking for cookie." I looked up to see a familiar pair of sea green eyes and black hair. I saw Andi standing behind him and I looked back at dad and asked "What are you doing here?" he simply responded "Can I not come and visit my favorite children just because? Also, your sister called me and said you've been sick for a little over a week." I looked back at Andi and said: "I thought I told you not to tell anyone!" "No, you said don't tell Mr. D, Chiron, or an Apollo kid. Does this look like any of the beings I've named?" Andi responded referring to dad. Dad chuckled and said, "Yes, I look much more handsome than those beings." I chuckled at dad which turned into me running for my new pal, the bucket. As I was spewing Dad was rubbing my back. After I finished, Dad helped me back into bed while Andi kept her distance. After Dad got me into bed he told Andi to go tell Chiron and Will Solace. When Andi walked out Dad looked at me and frowned "Percy, why didn't you tell anyone you were sick?" I shrugged my shoulders and Dad said "Percy, there must be a reason. I would like to know why your sister contacted me instead of Chiron or better yet, you." I answered, "I guess because I don't like being weak in front of others." Dad's eyes softened and said "Perseus, you don't have to play the hero all the time. Even the greatest heroes get sick and it only shows true strength when you sometimes let yourself appear weak." I nodded and said "Thanks, dad." Dad kissed my forehead and said "I love you, Percy, you and your sister. "I will check on you later and next time don't let your sister suffer like that. she was pretty scared when she irised me." I nodded and with that, he left.

Shortly after, Andi showed up with Will. He said I had a stomach virus that only demigods get and should be over soon and gave me some ambrosia and nectar. I also apologized to Andi for worrying her.
