Chapter 1: The missing sin

(Y/n) POV~
It's been about a couple days since I've been gone from home. I just couldn't stay there anymore. I couldn't stand all the abuse... I had to get away. It's been about 4 days now since I left.. I should've brought some food with me or something... I didn't even bring any water I'm not gonna last a week out here.

~5 minutes later~

Oh hey!! Look it's a tavern thank god! I'll be able to eat after all. I walked in to the tavern and looked around.
"Hello welcome to the Boar Hat How May I help you?" Asked a small child with blonde hair and emerald green eyes. He's about my size? Does he work here is he just helping a paren with the place or something?
"Uh I just came in to look around maybe order some food?" I said with a questioning look.
"Of course! Right this way" the little man led me to a table. I took my seat and continued to look around. I noticed the wanted signs and went up to look at them. I noticed that I'm not up there that's a relief.
"Miss are you ready to order?" A girl with silver hair asked.
"Hmm? Oh yea ha sorry" I sent back to me seat and the girl followed me.
"Uh can I just get a steak and a water please?" I asked calmly
"Of course anything else?" She asked she seems so cheerful I thought someone working here would be like dead inside?
"No thats all thank you" I said I payed her before I food came out just so I didn't have to worry about it later. I sat there waiting for my food when the blonde haired boy came back.
"Oh? Hello again" I said looking at the boy
"So what brought you into my tavern?" The boy asked
"Oh nothing jus- wait your tavern? Aren't you a little young to be running a tavern?" I said with concern. He just laughed.
"I'm not young actually" he stated... is he okay??
"Um okay.. well I ran away from home.. it's been about 4 days since I left and I'm just really hungry and tired so after I eat I'm gonna head back out and set up camp some where" I stated and looked down at the table
"Tell ya what, you can stay here all you'd like but you need to work here for me." He said all cheerfully with a grin? Does his cheeks ever hurt after smiling for so long?
"Uh sure I guess what do I have to do?" I asked still looking at the table
"You'll be a waitress here with Elizabeth" he pointed to the silver haired girl so that's her name wait Elizabeth? As in THE PRINCESS!?
"Uh okay. Just one question. Elizabeth? Is she princess Elizabeth?" I asked looking at the girl
"Yup! She's on a quest with me but I'm not gonna talk about that" he stated I nodded and looked back at the table.

Meliodas's POV~

I started talking to the strange girl that case into my tavern but I just realized something she looks kinda familiar. Do I know her from somewhere? Who knows as she looked away at Elizabeth that's when I saw a mark on her neck a little under her jaw line. I got a closer look. There's no way it's her! The 8th sin the sin of emotions. This is incredible! That's how I know her!
"So what's your name miss?" I asked sternly
"Oh um I'm (Y/n)" she said shyly. I can't believe it's her.
"Elizabeth! Close down the tavern and come here please" I stated loudly
"O..oh okay sir Meliodas" she started locking the doors and came a took a seat next to us.
"W...wait Meliodas.. as in the leader of the deadly sins!?" (Y/n) asked worriedly
"You betcha that's me!" I pointed to myself with a big smile on my face
"And you're (Y/n) the 8th sin, sin of emotions!" I stated pointing at the young (h/c) girl
"H...how did you know that!?" She basically yelled.
"I see the mark on your neck" I stated and pointed to the air symbol on her neck she put her (h/l) over her mark
"Wait you're the eighth sin miss?" Elizabeth asked quietly
"Yes.. I am but please don't tell anyone.. I can't go back home I can't get hurt again" she started looking around nervously as she was looking around I noticed the bruises on her. It made me angry I guess they kind of realized because I punched the table...
"Are you okay sir Meliodas?" Elizabeth asked worriedly
"I'm fine but how could you let them do that! You control emotion you couldn't have made them happy so they'd walk off or something!?" I said angrily.. she sighed
"I tried that.. they got use to it and got more mad at me when I tried to I just got "punished" more.." is.. is she about to cry?
"Welp! I'm gonna protect you from now on! Even if I die I promise I will always protect you" I stated cheerfully. She stopped crying and hugged me
"Thank you.. Captain" she said.. I don't know why but that kind of made me blush? Whatever lll just brush it off for now.
"Well let's get some rest. Elizabeth has the quest room so you'll be rooming with me" I stated and started to walk away
"Sir Meliodas where's hawk?" Elizabeth asked looking around.
"He's laying over there" I pointed to the other room where he was sleeping
"Oh okay good." She stayed and started walking upstairs
"Well are you coming (Y/n)" I asked impatiently
"Y..yea sorry just a lot to take in" she rushed to my side and hurriedly ran up the steps. We found the other sin I thought she'd be the hardest to find. We started getting ready for bed. (Y/n) went to the bathroom to get dressed in some clothes we had in the basement I was already laying down on the bed.

~5 minutes later~

(Y/n) finally came in the room and laid down next to me. She seems to be really tired so I won't bother her. I started to think what was gonna happen in this journey it's gonna be crazy! I started to shut my eyes about five minutes after I fell into a deep sleep.
