Concert in a Can Part 2:

I walk next door to see Marcus, Chase and Adam in the living room already rehearsing without me. "Well its only our first day but we sound great, I think you both have real raw talent". Marcus said. Aw isn't he sweet. "Well if our talent is raw then we better start cooking". Adam said then did that Bum Bum Tiss thing with the drums. "Hey Cassie". Marcus greeted me. "Hey guys". I said, Chase comes over and kisses me lightly. "Hey". I smile. "Hey". I said.

I see Leo shadowing over Marcus. "Leo what are you doing?". Chase asked. "Just asking Marcus a few questions. Where were you born? When's your birthday? Who's the president of Venezuela?". Leo asked. Wow my best friend has finally gone mad. "I don't know". Marcus said. "Aha so he's not from Venezuela". Leo said. Chase and I looked at each other. "Okay that's it, this practice just became band members only". Chase said. I nod in agreement. "Well then I guess I'm in the band". He said and stared down Marcus. "Leo you don't even play an instrument". Chase said. "That's where your wrong". Leo said, the proceeded to try the tambourine, the wash board, the maracas, the accordion and lastly a big wooden bass. "Like I said, you don't even know how to play an instrument". Chase said again."You know what guys let him in, he can play this". Marcus went over to the couch and got a cowbell. He held it out to Leo who snatched it out of his hands, then Marcus backed away. "Thank you, I've never played the cowbell before but lets see what I got". Leo hit the cowbell. "Wow I'm a natural". I rolled my eyes at my best friend. "I saw that Cassie". I smile. "So what song do you guys want to learn". I asked the four boys standing in front of me. They all looked confused, Chase's face light up. "Babe we could use the song that we were writing a couple of months ago". Chase exclaimed. (If you don't know it was the song they wrote while they were in detention together). "Chase that's a good idea I guess but isn't that song kinda personal". I asked my boyfriend, he frowns. "No I don't think so, it may be a little soft and whimsical for a band but we can modern it up a bit". Chase gives me puppy dog eyes which he knows I can't resiste. "Okay we'll use the song that we wrote". Chase grins and kissed me on the cheek. 2 hours later I'm having a five minute break when Mr Davenport comes in and turns off the amp. "Hey you know it's not enough to just play the notes, you wanna get them in the right order". He told the boys. "OMG your Donald Davenport". Marcus exclaimed, huh I guess we forgot to mention it to him. "Guilty as charged". He replied. "The genius billionaire, scientific entrepreneur?".Marcus asked. And that's Mr Davenports ego rising even higher. "Don't forget, multi-lingual mega star". Davenport said walking towards the kitchen. "Gracias". Marcus said. "Denada". Mr Davenport said. I roll my eyes seriously can this mans ego go up any higher. "Wow Mr Davenport I'd love to hear your theory on plasma gasification". Marcus said, how can he be interested in science. Just when I thought Marcus was cool. "Who wouldn't". Davenport laughed. "I  know a person". I said raising my hand. Mr Davenport glares at me. "Just saying, the guy tells you to always be truthful at yet he doesn't wanna hear it". "You know Bree and I were going to demo my holo-pet for career day, but since you guys have a banded can demo my concert in a can instead, that'll be such a great surprise for her". Davenport suggested. "That is good, that is good, what is that?". Marcus questioned. "It's a can that creates a virtual concert experience, it's something I designed for those of us who would be rock stars if we weren't busy being brilliant inventors". I sigh, Mr Davenport and bragging. "You're a rock star to me". Marcus said. "I know". Davenport patted him on the shoulder. "Bree is going to love this". He walks past me. "Don't tell me your in the band too?". He questioned. "I am". He shakes his head. "She's our singing, and she's amazing". Marcus said. I giggle. "Marcus stop it". I turn back to Mr Davenport. "I guess I'm okay at it". He shakes his head again then leaves the room. Adam stood up. "I'm gonna go get Mr Davenports gigantic mega amp, because everyone knows louder is better". Chase stops his older brother. "Whoa whoa whoa whoa, that amp is pretty heavy, don't you think I should help you carry it, because you don't have the strength of ten men". Chase said looking at Adam. "Yes I do..........not!". He looked over at Marcus and Leo. "I'm frail". The two run off. "I'll help". I run after them. We look for the amp every where but we can't find it. "Mr Davenport must be keeping it in one of his warehouses". I said to the two brothers. Adam turns to face me. "You know you didn't have to help, your a girl your not that strong anyway". My eyes widen, in seconds I have Adam pinned against the wall. "What was that about girls not being strong?". I asked. "Okay okay your strong". Adam gets out of my grip easily. "Lets head back". Chase says grabbing my hand. We head back to the lounge, we hear Marcus yell. "What's wrong with you, why would you break my guitar?". We saw Leo holding Marcus's now broken guitar and it did not look good, we all looked shocked. "No, but he- and I- Oh!". Leo said by the sounds of it he figured something out. "Leo why would you break his guitar?". Chase finally asked. "No no no that's what he wants you to think, he broke it, he's the breaker and I'm the breakee". Leo tried to explain, but he was talking crazy. "That is crazy why would I break my own guitar?". Marcus asked grabbing the broken pieces of his guitar, poor kid. I go over to Marcus and give him a hug. Chase pulls me out of Marcus's grip. "Look Leo id like to believe you I really would but you do break things all the time". Chase said. "He's right Leo". I said, standing up for my boyfriend. "That's not true". We all gave him a look. "Yes it's true, but it's not true this time". "Leo this reminds me of a story about a boy named wolf. He cried a lot and after that he's friends never believed him, then his grandmother ate him". Adam said before patting Leo's cheek. "That's not how the story goes Adam". I said giving the tall boy a shove. "But the story that Adam told- well the correct version, is kind of what is happening here Leo". "Fine, but this goes deeper than a broken guitar, I will prove my innocence and show you he's up to no good". He started to walk away and then turned around. "IM GONNA GO ALL CSI ON THIS ONE!". Then Leo's face softens. "Your my best friend Cassie I thought at least you would believe me". He said then left the room. I sigh and sit on the couch. Marcus takes a seat on one side of me while Chase takes the other side. "Don't feel bad Cassie it's not your fault Leo broke my guitar". Marcus puts his arm around me. "I know I still feel awful though, Leo's my best friend and he really looked hurt, I've never seen him look so disappointed in me". "Leo will come around he's just upset right now that we caught him". Chase says, I just nod and lean on my boyfriend his arm goes over my shoulders knocking Marcus's off. I look into Chase's eyes. "Am I detecting some jealousy?". I ask my boyfriend. He scoffs. "What! No!". I smile. "Whatever you say Chase". I get up off the couch and start packing away the boys instruments. "Okay you lot finish this up while I go talk to Mr Davenport about your guitar Marcus". He smiles. "No it's okay you don't have to". He said. "No it's okay in this situation id rather be the responsible one rather then the one who cops the flack". I go down to the lab, through a secret tunnel I found once when I was wondering through the house lost. Yeah I got lost in this house, in fact I still get lost in this house. I walk into the lab and see Mr Davenport sitting at a computer. "Hey Mr D". He jumps. "Cassie what can I do for you?". He asked. "I need to talk to you about Leo". He sighs. "Hit me". He said. So I explain to him what happened up stairs and Mr Davenport agreed to let Marcus borrow one of his guitars. "Mr D I also need to talk to you about something else it's really important". He sighs. "Hit me, again". So I tell him my secret I've never told anyone, about a note I found hidden in a photo frame that I dropped. "Are you sure?". Mr Davenport asked me. "I've never been sure of anything else in my entire life Mr Davenport". After talking with Mr Davenport about my secret, I head back upstairs into the lounge. "Look Leo we'll talk about this later, okay Adam, Cassie and I have to go meet Marcus". I walk over to Chase. "Yeah we don't wanna be late for our own concert". I said. I heard the bum bum tiss sound, I look at Adam. "I made it my ringtone". I shake my head and slap him on his. We all head out the door with Adam carrying everything. "Guys I forgot my phone inside". I go back inside to grab my phone. Leo's sitting on the couch and he looks sad. "Leo". I said sitting next to him. "What do you want?". He asked. "Leo, look I believe you". He eyes widen. "You do?". He asked. "Of course I do your my best friend Leo I know you, while you do break a lot of things I know you wouldn't break Marcus's guitar on purpose or on accident, if it was an accident you would've just knocked it over, that kind of damage can't happen if you just knock it over, I know Marcus is the one who's done this, he's not as good of an actor as he thinks". Chase walks in the door. "Cassie you coming?". He asked. "Yeah Leo was just giving me some good luck that's all". Me and Leo stand up. I hug my short best friend. "I know you and I know you'll find away to uncover the truth". I whisper in his ear, I grab Chase's hand and we head over to the school.When we got to the school we met Marcus, I let the boys set everything up while I went over to Mr Davenport. "Meet me in the lab at 4pm tomorrow". He said, I just nod my head. We both head over to the boys who are now finished with setting everything up. "Wait till they get a load of this, my virtual concert in a can will knock there socks off". He stepped forward and placed the concert in a can on the floor. "Now it will activate itself so don't forget to stand back, a couple of guys in research and development found that out the hard way". I gasp seriously he hurts his own employes. Marcus spoke up. "Thanks for lending me this awesome guitar Mr Davenport, it's almost as good as the one Leo so viciously destroyed". He told us, I roll my eyes, Marcus looks at me confused. I send him a fake smile. "Well hey if I had a nickel for everything of mine Leo has destroyed id still be down two million in change". Mr Davenport said and smiled. "Yeah and that's just the stuff you know about". Chase said. "We know nothing". I said quickly. "Nothing at all". Adam said just as quickly and we all backed away. I see Bree come in and she looks upset. I shake it off maybe I'm just imagining things. "This is going to be awesome". Marcus said. Chase looks at me. "You okay". I nod. "Yeah just a little nervous". Chase hugs me. "Your going to do great". I smile at my boyfriend. "Thanks Chase, what would I do without you". He smiles. "I don't know, date Leo instead". He said shrugging. "Eww no way, Leo's my best friend, don't tell Bree I said that". Chase chuckles. "Wouldn't dream on it". He said.

So we perform and everyone loves it, I head back to the Davenports after that to get ready to go out for a celebratory dinner. I race upstairs and get changed then head into the lounge area where Marcus is sitting on the couch, I take a seat next to him. "You have an amazing voice Cassie". He said. "Thanks Marcus you're sweet". I said. Marcus shuffles a little closer to me. "You were incredible performing". He said. Okay what's with all the compliments. Marcus leans in, I jump up. "I'm sorry I didn't mean too". He said quickly. "Don't try and kiss me again". I said sternly. Chase comes in from Leo's bedroom. "Cassie are you okay, you look kind of pale?". Chase asked. "Chase i'm fine, let's go". I said, I take his hand and drag him out the front door.
