Erwin walked closer to his desk and by instinct I stepped back.

Erwin- "Who sent you?"

You- "huh?"

Erwin- "Someone must've sent you to bring me food during your shift."

You- "Uh-um...uh...I don't remember his name..but..H-he was short and-"

Erwin- "Levi."

You- "H-how did you get that so quickly?"

Erwin- 'You had me at short."

I couldn't help but giggle a bit but it went away almost immediately when he stepped closer to me. I stepped back more but my back hit the wall.

Erwin- "What business do you have reading classified reports?"

You- "um...I...I was just curious."

Erwin- "Curious? About what?"

You- "um....Hanji was so happy when she received word that you approved her request...and I wanted to know what convinced you."

Erwin then reached for the journal that was on his desk and brought it up to my face.

Erwin- "What did you think of it?"

You- "T-the book or the report?"

Erwin chuckled a bit.

Erwin- "Did her report baffle you a bit?"

You- "...I just never pictured Hanji to be calm and collective."

Erwin- "She has her moments."

I then looked at the journal that Erwin held up and I took a deep breath before giving out my answer.

You- "I thought her death wasn't in vein."

Erwin- "hmm?"

You- "Ilse...her discovery just proves that there's more than titans out there."

Erwin just stood there and listened with a straight face.

You- "Like...all we know is that there are Titans that eat people but....what if they exist with a purpose? Because these titans didn't just show up out of nowhere, something HAS to have brought them here. Because if they existed for no reason then why did that Titan talk?"

Erwin seemed to be intrigued by my response, or at least I hope he is because that blank face is hard to read.

Erwin- "I appreciate you bringing me food, but you do realize I must punish you for intruding."

I exhaled and dropped my head.

You- "I figured..."

I knew Erwin wasn't going to let me off the hook that easily. Although, a part of me was kind of hoping that he would.

You- "so...what's my punishment Commander?"

Erwin- "Since you enjoy reading my reports, you're going to help me with my paperwork."

You- "That's it?"

Erwin- "You're going to come here after your shift and you'll stay until I release you."

You-" Okay...I mean...I guess that isn't so bad."

Erwin- "Get back to your position, I'll be expecting you tonight."

I made my way back to the infirmary and I couldn't help but have this feeling that my punishment is going to make my life miserable. But I brushed that feeling off because I worked in the infirmary and its pretty miserable in there. And besides, how bad can his paperwork be?

After a long and tiring shift at the infirmary, I could finally retire for the night. I was about to just head on up to my room and crash onto my bed but then I remembered that Erwin wanted me to go up to his quarters after my shift. I looked at the clock and saw that it read 10 pm, I sighed and dragged my feet up to his quarters.

Once I reached to his door, I knocked on it and heard him say "come in."

I entered his quarters and saw that there was another table and chair right beside his desk. Once he gestured me to sit, he then stood up and reached over to the side and pulled out a few stacks of paper.

You- "Okay..so..what do I do?"

Erwin- "You're going to read them all."

You- "Wait..read them all?"

Erwin- "Yes, and then separate them."

You- "Separate them? how?"

Erwin- "Some of these reports are just training results while others are field reports. Some are also reports from the infirmary and some are death reports. I kept putting them to the side because I have been too busy to look at them but now they have piled up."

You- "And I have to read all of them?"

Erwin- "Yes."

You- "But Erwin, this is going to take fore-.."

I then looked up at Erwin and he had a smirk on his face.

You- "Oh no..."
