On the tiny well lit streets,
Treading clueless along the creaky pavements,
With arms digging deep in the pockets,
Of his denim jacket,
This fellow was quiet.
Taking a walk off the heat of the night,
He was in need of no company,
In this land of companionship,
He was but an innocent stranger,
New to the town too,
As new he was to its customs,
Buried in the music in his head,
He bumped into this Lady.
"Walking the night all alone?" Posed he the question,
"Sorry I was careless" she clumsily replied,
There was a thing,
About this incident of nature,
For it was not an accident,
They felt the heat emanating within,
Deep down their darkest pits of their hearts,
There was the warmth,
And the glow about their talk,
Strangers in the night.
The desire for company,
Couldn't be ignored,
And the heat couldn't be assumed,
"Care if I join you?" He was quick to ask,
"Am all lonely, never mind" She couldn't hide the shyness that cupped her beautifully placed cheeks,
Together they walked and conversed,
Joked and laughed,
Held arms and cuddled,
They kissed in the night,
Strangers in the night,
In love they became.
