Francis POV
The day was slow, and long, on Fridays Quin and I only had two classes together, Gym and Math, the most boring subjects, although he makes them interesting. "Francis, do you mind solving this question?" My head snaps up, "Uhh..." Dead air is pushed through the room. "No?" All around the room kids are giggling, I smile, and look down embarrassed, Maeve pats my back giving me an awkward smile. The Teacher asks her next, she gave her the wrong answer, then returns to writing notes.
At the end of the day Jayden comes towards us and asks us if we want to go to his party later tonight at 6:30, we say sure, and now here we are. I get a can of beer and sit down on the red couch in the corner of the room, Alia walks away with Samaraa, leaving Maeve, and Alex beside me, then Quin comes over. "How you liking it so far?" he asks me. "It's pretty quiet, but it's nice, I mean, not everyone's here yet. But I wonder why Samaraa pulled Alia away." I say, "I don't know. Maybe...." Quin trails off. Alia and Samaraa come back. I ask Alia what Samaraa wanted but she shook her head and said she couldn't tell anyone. For now. I Get up to Grab some more beer before Hary (ew Hary) drinks it all, with his 'Boyfriend' Julien. I enter the kitchen, boys talking crowding the room, I open the fridge and grab a Bud light, "Get me one too!" I hear a deep voice yell over the crowd, I turn and see Quin, He probably followed me in. "Your so loyal." I smirk at him, he yells "What?" Over the banging music, I shake my head, brushing it off, and grab two beers. We sit down again and start talking and drinking our beers. I start getting a little tipsy. We go into the dinning room/kitchen and sit down at the island. Mady walks over to us, breaking our enjoyable conversation, we try to get her to leave us alone but she just won't leave. She just stands there with a solo cup firmly in her hand.
"You wanna do something fun?" I ask Quin, smirking, one hand placed on his thigh, the other putting the drink down and tugged on his shirt slightly. "Yeah!" He says returning the smile, I pull him upstairs to find a room for the two of us, I find a door, quickly open it then find Hary and Julien, Julien pinning Hary down yelling memes or something satanic at him. After being scarred we decide to go outside since the rain had stopped.
I pull Quin across the outside wall. He pushes me up against it leaning into me, one hand on my chin pulling my face up, the other pinning me in place, I have to stand on my toes to reach his lips, as I also lightly pull on the collar of his maroon shirt. I bite my bottom lip, looking him up and down, the both of us knowing what we want. Finally our lips meet, the kiss was long and passionate. I push him away and whisper, "Quin..." I trail off and we start kissing again A little bit later he pulls away and looks backwards. Then looks back at me, eyes widened "Someone saw us." whispering "I think it was Alex." He said blushing as if embarrassed to be caught kissing someone, even though their his girlfriend. We go inside and see Hary and Julien walking down the stairs, Hary looking like he has seen the world from a new perspective, but both of them looking quite horny, and desperate. I gag at the thought of them having sex, of even kissing. Alex looked frightened when she spotted us, she turned away to Mady, whispering to her, probably what she just witnessed. Automatically I run over towards her, and in an attempt to shut her up, I pushed her onto the soft couch, and fell on top of her. "Ohhhh Frany's a lesbian!" Hary shouted, pointing at me, Julien and other boys, in unison saying "OoOhhHHhh". Quin behind me pulling me off Alex, Yelling. "Oh shut up Hary, you're probably gay!" He very sternly states. Hary looked taken back, then stumbles down the staircase "You father fucker!" He looked quite serious, then he grabbed onto Quins T-shirt, pulling him down to his level. I got up and noticed Mady looked offended, I try to walk over to her, to explain what just happened.
"STOP." Jayden's voice silences the room, everyone becomes immobile. "Get your shit together Hary, and Quin help Alex up please." Before obliging to Jayden's commands, they give each other a grimy stare, then Quin helps Alex. I quickly pulled Mady to the closest corner and try to clarify things by saying. "Mady, um... I'm not gay and I don't like Alex. I'm very.. uh deeply sorry that, that had-." She cut me off then responded. "No it's okay, really I don't care that, that had-" She quickly cut me off, then responded with. "No it's okay, I don't care that you like Alex it ju-" appalled that she doesn't believe me I rip her turn to speak away from her. "No, you didn't hear me Mady. I. Don't. Like. Alex. In that way. Is that too much to understand for you?" Mady let her eyes draw her to the floor, and she take deep breaths. Out of nowhere she ran off, I try to catch her but she grabs Alex's arm and orders her to drive her home, Alex seemed caught in all this and just went with it. Alex waved goodbye to all of us, though she seemed to be a little distraught. "Bye." We all said when the door closed, Quin walks over toward me, and stands beside me. "Sooo." shifting in his spot. "Sorry, it got a bit... out of hand." he smiled, and chuckled a bit.
"No it's doesn't matter." He smiles at me, making me feel stupid for overreacting. He walked out of the house, I followed him out then he says. "Oh, yeah I'm going to be late for Hockey practice." He turns around he gives me a light kiss on the cheek, before getting into his car, he turns around then says. "See you tomorrow then." He gives me a wink, then finally gets into his car.
I walk into the house completely blushing. Everyone looking at me a few people overheard what Quin said.
"Oh shut up."
