Dear Diary

1: A new diary

Choosing a diary is easy.
Most would agree.

And when you have one, you can write what you want, when you want! No one should control that except you .

But my main purpose of getting a diary today is simply so that I can express myself. Having the wonders of my own world in a way.

I'm an only child, so there's not a lot to write about any sibling! So I have the rest of my family. My mother, my father and my aunty.

We all live in an adequate home. It's a perfect size for us. As it is only us.

I know a lot of people out there do get excited when they have a fresh notepad or notebook to write in. For me, I like to write in notebooks.

I am upstairs in my bedroom, lying flat on my bed with my feet dangling in the air, holding my pen in my right hand and thinking hard of what to write first.

Dear diary
Today in college was hard for me.
I know I'm going through my last year, but, everyone around me has someone. Someone to love.
I feel so single and alone. And I'm always beating myself up about that !

Oh how I wish I had someone. Someone who can love me as much as I love them.

Someone with a simple name like Danny or something like that.

I'm afraid this diary entry is going to have to be short. As I'm too upset to write further.

That night I did my usual bed cry.

And when it was the fresh new day, I made my way outside. Someone new was moving across the street.

I made my way over to the lad that moved in and started making a conversation with him.

"Hello, my name is Anna. I'm your neighbour that lives opposite you." I said.

"Hello. My name is Danny." He greeted.

Oh my gosh! It's like the name I suggested when I wrote in my diary! Is this even possible ?!
