7:35 AM, September 12, 2018. I'm sitting in science class, the day didn't start unusually. Every day I go to school, I'm in eighth grade, so that means only one year left of torture until I begin a new wave of it, high school, or so I thought. Anyway, I'm sitting in science class while the kid next to me drones on about something I didn't care about. While I'm tuning him out, I look up to the front of the class as I hear the door opening. In walks a kid that's 5'taller-than-me, he's tan and has long, wavy hair. The first thing I think is, well I guess I believe in Jesus, now that he's standing right in front of me, I look to my right, where my best friend, Olivia, is sitting. She raises her eyebrows and laughs as she sees my face turn red. This has always been a problem, I'm incredibly pale, due to having orange hair, so I blush after even the slightest bit of human contact.
Back to the kid at the front of the class. The teacher is talking to him and seems to be looking for a place to seat him, as if on cue, the intercom bleeps,
"Would Chet Romney please come to the office," The annoying kid next to me stands up and walks out of the class. The Jesus kid walks down the aisle and puts his books down on Chet's desk. The teacher begins to protest,
"But that's Chet's seat, we'll get an-" He's then cut off by the Jesus kid,
"Not anymore, we can find Chet a seat that's more suitable," I smiled at the kid, I thought I'd die if I had to listen to Chet talk all class again. Jesus kid turns to me,
"I'm Draven, nice to meet you," just when I thought this kid couldn't get any cooler, I find out his name is Draven.
"Draven as in Eric Draven, from The Crow?"
"Yeah, my parents raised me to be the goth kid I am," I guess I forgot to mention that this kid is dressed in platform Doc Martens, a Misfits t-shirt, fishnet sleeves under the the shirt, and skinny jeans rolled up to fit with the boots. He's perfect.
"That's crazy, because it just so happens that my name is Shelley," (For the people who have never seen The Crow, Shelley is Eric Draven's fiancée)
Draven's eyes lit up, "I guess we better watch out for angry gangs then," he laughed.
"I'm sure Chet won't be too mad that you took his seat," I snickered back.
