Excuse me?

"Oh?"

My teacher had sounded annoyed, as I had asked to use the restroom. I nodded, rubbing the back of my neck, embarrassed. He rolled his eyes and gave me the pass, and I practically ran out of the class. Everyone knows that if you need to go somewhere to be alone, you go to the abandoned bathroom on the first floor. There are only two stalls and are fully walled in. Paradise.

Why do I need to be alone? Well. . . Wait. Wasn't that kid behind me on the stairs? I walked faster, as he couldn't possibly be following me. Seeing the bathroom that I was looking for, I'd speed-walk, open the door, and look behind me. He'd not be there. He was probably heading to class.. I'd close the door, happy to find solace in the thankfully empty room. I'd step into a stall and stand on the toilet. Propping myself up in the stall using my legs, I'd give myself a boost towards the ceiling, since I'm quite short. I'd push up the ceiling tile and pull down my sketchbook and my colors.

"Hmm..." I thought aloud, believing myself to be alone. "What to draw..." I'd tap the pencil I'd be sketching with. I couldn't wait to get the sketches done, colors are what makes art thrive. Of course, I already knew what I'd be drawing, the view from the window of my class on the third floor was so inspiring this morning, I just had to try to copy it with my markers.

Anyways, introductions. My name is Parker, I'm a sophomore in high school, and I love to draw. There's just something about taking an idea from your mind, or a beautiful scene in front of you, and then making it your own with your tool of trade, mine being markers. Clearly.

I was just about to start sketching when I heard the door open beside me and the bathroom sink starting to run. Frowning, I'd lift myself up in the stall again and put my sketch book and colors back, to return to after I see who else is using the sanctuary. But before I'd finish placing the ceiling tile back into place, the doorknob would turn and open.

A tall teen with messy blue and green hair would peer in, and my heart would stop. Not only has he broken one of the only rules of the sanctuary, but he. Is. Gorgeous! His brown eyes match the shade of his freckles perfectly, and his blue-gray hoodie accented his hair.

He'd stare up at me, as I'm still holding myself up between the walls using my legs, and I'd feel myself go a little pale.

"You dropped your phone." Is all he'd offer, clearly his interest piqued by my strange positioning. I can't believe this is happening.

"Uhh," I'd flush, the pink color returning to my skin. Probably turning into a red. Dammit. "Thanks. . ." I'd mumble, still mortified as I let myself drop down onto the floor. I'd reach for my phone, looking at the ground. He was wearing muddy boots.

"So. What were you up to?" The boy would ask with a chuckle. "Not every day you see a spider-boy in an abandoned restroom."

Oh. My. God. I am beyond mortified. Where is the hole to the abyss because I need a one way trip to China. Blushing a shade deeper, I'd stutter my response sloppily, as I was still looking down.

"Uh- I was. . I was. . No-Nothing!" I'd laugh awkwardly, how much worse could this get. I'd awkwardly move out of the stall, heading to sit on the sink. He'd move and sit next to me.

"Well, since we're alone, what would you think about heading out to a café this weekend? They make really good coffee and the view is really nice and-" He'd go on and on, but I'd cut him off.

"Woah, hold on! Names first please? You literally just walked in on me in the bathroom to give me my phone." I'd feel bad cutting him off, and I'd surely have accepted if only I weren't busy this weekend. But really, who is he?

"Okay okay, fine, I was getting ahead of myself," He'd roll his eyes, and drop off the sink to stand in front of me. "Hello, I am Aaron, I'm a junior and I volunteer at the zoo. And it's your turn now." He'd jump back up, grinning and waiting for my introduction.

"What, you expect a kindergarten response like that from me?" I'd ask, smiling. Man, this is awesome.

"Yes, then we will say bye bye potty when you tell me if you're available this weekend." He held himself against the mirror, holding his arms behind his head. He'd give a small snicker when I gave him a small are-you-joking smile.

"Hi, I'm Parker, I'm a sophomore and I do art. And no, I'm not available this weekend I have to babysit," I would have left it at that, but he looked sad. Are. . Are those puppy eyes? Oh, Fine. "Tomorrow is good though, if you insist." I swear, I'm such an enabler.

"Okey-dokey, It's a date then. Let's say bye bye potty before we get torched by our teachers." He'd hop down, giving such a goofy lopsided smile I'm not entirely convinced he isn't a huge Labrador or something. I noticed that he hadn't left the room yet, he was blocking the door with a mischievous grin.

"I swear if you make me say it, I will shank you with a colored pencil." I'd threaten, pulling one out of my pocket for good intimidation points. He'd snicker, nodding his head. Oh my gods, how dare he look so gorgeous and act so childishly. "Fine, you are so awful! Bye bye potty!" I'd give in, grumpily, crossing my arms with a feign angry huff. He giggled like an immature schoolgirl and walked off to his class. Did I really just agree to a date with him?

I suppose its not so bad, considering he's literally patting himself on the back and cheering in the empty hallway. What an adorable dork.
