The Mysterious Incident

 It was a cold morning in Addison Appartments. You were looking out your window as you admired nature's beauty as you stare down at your fingers that were resting on the handle to open the window. Your inner self was telling you to open the window and inhale the air from outside. Your fingers got the best of you and they started to lift the handle and you slowly began to raise the window that is until your mother walked in and gasped."(YOUR NAME) WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" She rushed to your window and quickly locks it as you frown and look at her."IT'S NOT FAIR! JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID OF GETTING GERMS IN THE HOUSE DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE TO LIVE THAT LIFESTYLE TOO!" You said a bit mad as your mother just sighed "Sweetie I just want what's best for you and besides..."She said while rubbing your head"As long as you live under my rules you just have to keep following them"You pushed her hand away and walked to your closet to get your outfit of the day and went to the bathroom,slamming the door in the process.Moments later you walk out and head your way out the door"Honey where are your gloves and face mask?"She said heading towards you "I'm not gonna wear them"you frowned as you see your mom grabbing some fresh pair of gloves and a face mask as she demmands to you put them on as you sigh and did so."I'm gonna go see Larry!"You said and stormed out of your appartment. You went to the elevator with the spare key card Lisa gave you when you and Larry were young.She figured if her son had more friends then he wouldn't be getting in trouble.As you finally reach the basement and head over to 1B. You see Lisa serving up breakfast and Larry yawning while eating his pancakes."Oh good morning (Your Name)~You are just in time for breakfast "Lisa smiled warmly as you did back. You knew Lisa and Larry would be fine with you taking off your mask and gloves since you told them about your hatred towards living a germ free life just as long as they didn't tell your mom. You removed your face mask and gloves and sat down. Larry messed with his pancakes ."Hey (Your Name) did ya hear?"Larry said as you look up "I think today someone is gonna move in to Addison Appartments."Great ....another person to warn about my mom's cleaning habits" You sigh sad" Don't be so down (Your Name) I'm sure your mother will get over it sooner or later" Lisa smiled feeling hopeful as you nodded and the three of you began talking while eating breakfast.

Later that day you were at home watching T.V when your mother got a call "Hello?Oh hello Mr.Addison. Yes what about Sandy?OH MY GOD!"Your eyes widen to the sudden scream your mom released as you looked over from the couch to see her sobbing and her dropping her phone to the ground. You rushed over and kneeled to her "M-Mom?...."She looked up at you with tears in her eyes "Sandy....S-She's been murdered"She cried as you gasp. Later after your mom calmed down with some medicine you gave her to calm down, she fell asleep so it was your chance to go investigate what happened so you sneak out and head to the 4th floor and see a police office blocking Mrs. Sanderson's appartment door.You frowned but when you turned around to go tell Larry about it ,you bump into someone as you both fall "S-Sorry I didn't see where I was going" You tried to apologize but the person just got up and helps you up."I should apologize I was stuck staring at what happened in 403 that I wasn't aware of my surroundings"the boy said. You take a good look at him.He had blue hair tied in pig tails,two piercings in each ear ,a black sweater,red ripped jeans and blue and white shoes. But what made you curious about his appearance the most was his mask. Never in your life you have seen a mask like it."Oh by the way I'm Sal but my friends called me Sally Face. I just moved in to 402 with my dad and my cat"He introduced himself but you tilt your head"S-Sally...Face?"You found that name not very nice sounding, it sounded more like an insult"heh...yeah I guess I didn't have good friends.But hey, I figured if I claimed that name as my own then no one else would bother me with that.What's your name if you don't mind me asking?"He said quickly changing the subject "I'm (Your Name)."You smiled behind your face mask.Sal wanted to ask about your face mask and gloves but he didn't wanted to sound mean so soon. "So....Do you have any idea what happened?"He said pointing at 403 "Mrs.Sanderson was murdered" You admitted as Sal's eyes widen "Yikes...."Is all he could say "Hmm... you seem like an Interesting person Sal and I think Larry would love to meet you. I was actually on my way to go see him and ask him if he already knew what happened to Mrs. Sanderson" You said as you signal Sal to the elevator as he followed you and you grabbed your key card and put it inside the slot that said Basement. As the elevator closed and you guys were now heading down to the basement, You looked over at Sal as you couldn't stop staring at his mask"So...Is the mask like something your dad forced you to wear to hide your face?" "Oh no it's nothing like that it's actually a prosthetic." He admitted. "Oh..."You remembered watching a medical show explaining those masks.A prostethic mask is something a person would wear to cover up a scar or a really bad injury." I'm sorry to hear that" You said feeling a little guilty in asking now. "No it's okay, it was bound to happen. Since we are asking stuff about each other , Is it okay if I ask what's with the face mask and gloves?"he pointed out trying not to sound so mean. "My mom makes me wear them because she is afraid of germs " you said and not going straight into detail. "Man it must be hard" Sal said. "I know right?! This morning she even didn't let me open the freaking window just a tiny bit." You said frowning a little "It's okay (your name) at least now you have a new friend to talk to about those types of things that bother you" Sal said as he finally walked out of the elevator and into the basement. Your eyes widen as he considered you as one of your friends now as you smiled happily and followed him "You'll see Sal, You ,me ,Larry and the rest of the gang will be closer as ever" "I'm glad to hear that" Sal said with a bit of joy in his tone.
