but always fitting just right
already adjusted to the curves of my body
always reliable to come back to
always fitting perfectly
but just like an old t shirt
my friends will look
and ask why i have that old t shirt again
i should just get rid of it
because of how frayed it has become
so i will leave you
my old favorite t shirt
in a drawer for a while
until one day i come back
missing the comfort of how you fit just right
only to realize i have grown quite a bit without you
and then trying to be with you again
is like trying to fit back
into an old favorite t shirt
that you
have long outgrown
but still trying because at one point you looked so good in it
but it is no longer comfortable
but it still brings back
all the sad painful
but sometimes happy
