There are several "circles" of cosmic deities. At the bottom, there are the Beasts (name not final), then there are the Gods, then the Elder Horrors, then the vast and infinite Daru'u, and then finally, the Endless.
The Endless are 4 beings that control everything below them, and could possibly even be everything below them. We do not know, and we could never know.
The Daru'u are beings such as Alyth'drhoth. These beings exist in a universe outside of space and time. They simply are. They are eternally slumbering, dreaming our reality, and infinite others, into existance.
The Elder Horrors are beings such as The Darkness. They are above the gods, yet limited to our universe. Every universe has their own, but all of them are horrifying to see, and will drive people mad just from hearing their voices. They all chatter as one in the void, where nobody can hear them, plotting how they shall destroy all.
The Gods are less destructive than the Horrors above them. They believe that everything exists for a purpose, and most have dedicated their limitless lives to finding out each beings reason for living. They tend to appear to sentient beings and advance their civilisations, sometimes even saving them, but they are not omnipotent, nor omniscient. They can bleed. They can be killed.
The Beasts (Not Final) are monstrosities. Sometimes, they are referred to as Cryptids, other times they are "SCPs", and yet others are simply called myths. They are real. They are all real. They have been with us since the beginning, and will be with us at the end. They will outlast us, whether we want them to or not.
