Knight Of Hell Book One:Shackled Past

Prologue

The horned throne stood tall and proud, with only a few burn marks slashing the sides and base. The demon sitting in said battered throne was regal and tall, sitting poshly and straight backed; as if he had a stick taped to his spine. The king looks out over his guards, as his voice resonates through the onyx black chamber.

"Bring the prisoner."

The clanking of chains can be heard as a gargantuan giant of a demon is brought before the throne, its horned skull of a head bowed, so its glowing eyes were piercing the craggy floor under its feet. The boney wings producing from its back spanning the room and its spine scraping the scalites on the ceiling. The chained monstrosity shrinks and kneels, a gruesome smile on its face.

"An audience, king?" the rumbling growl of a voice rumbles through the chamber as the chained demon speaks. The king stiffens, knowing that this... this monster had to be punished. But this was his best weapon.

"Mortem... you have been charged with treas-"

"I remember... when i was younger i was named.... That generation unafraid. Now, why so scared, king?"

The king couldn't say a word. It was true, mortem had been able to put fear in any heart, even his own master's. The king nods to the executioner and the only armed creature advanses, raising his axe over the prisoner's neck. As quick as a heartbeat, mortem swivels his body and has the chains break; he smacks the lesser demon to the ground and kills him in a second. He then turns to his 'master' and that gruesome smile spreads on his glowing face again.

The king looks shocked and stands, ready to flee. But before he can, Mortem is in his face, that gruesomely drooling smile still spread across his encased flaming face and his eyes glowing red. 

"King, king, king. You should know that nothing in this world... can kill a knight of hell."

I know the prologue is short but i promise it gets longer once i get into the chapters. hopefully you like it! let me know what you all think of this first part!
