Chapter one.

    Monday. August 26th, 2019, Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. 4:47 a.m.

Sydnie, up bright and early for her flight, walks downstairs with her suitcases, holding her phone and a coffee in the other hand. She tiredly walks downstairs to say goodbye to her family. She hugs her little sisters, Isla and Ava, then walks to the door and does the same with her parents.
"Bye, Syd. I love you, be careful, call if you need anything" Kristin, her mother, said.

With that, Sydnie walks out to her Uber and takes off to the airport. After a short car ride, she pays the driver, grabs her suitcases and begins walking to her terminal. She goes through security and checks the time. 6:56a.m. She sprints to where her plane is going to take off and hands her ticket to the flight attendant, she then proceeds to walk onto the plane and into her seat right as the captain begins speaking,

"Good morning, passengers. An early flight today, just sit back and relax, as I'm sure most of you had to wake up too early this morning." passengers across the plane chuckle at that. She texts her brother, Jack, saying she's getting onto her flight now. After that, she closes her eyes and takes a nap during her six-hour flight.

Monday. August 26th, 2019. Los Angeles, California.

Around 2:30 p.m. PST.

"Excuse me, miss. The plane landed wake up," a random passenger nudges Sydnie's arm. She wakes up and thanks the woman, then grabs her things and walks out to the big airport. After a couple minutes, she finds a Starbucks, so she buys a sandwich and coffee and goes to baggage claim. She's digging for her phone when all of the sudden it begins ringing, it's Jack.

"Hey S, where ya at?"
"Yo, I'm at baggage claim, let me grab, all my luggage and I'll meet you in the same spot as last time I came to visit."

He says okay and hangs up. Sydnie does just as she said, and grabs her things, throws her empty Starbucks cup and wrappers away and walks to the car on the west side of the airport. She walks outside almost immediately sweating from the L.A. heat. She spots her brother's BMW and makes her way to it. She opens the back seat to put her belongings inside and runs to the driver's side to hug Jack, whom she hasn't seen in two months. She smiles while walking to the passenger side so they can drive back to her new house - well Jack's house, where she will now be living. After 45 minutes, they arrive at the big, beautiful house that she can finally call hers.

Jack helps his sister bring all of her suitcases into their home and unlocks the door. When they walk in, she immediately sees four other guys. She recognizes them from online and Facetimes with Jack while he's on tour with them, but she's never been lucky enough to meet them in person. Until now that is. Her eyes catch one guy in particular, bright, ocean-blue eyes, messy, brown hair, tall and skinny but yet very muscular, looked to be about 19. Daniel. She remembers one day, about three weeks ago, she was on facetime with Jack, like almost every night and he was downstairs with the rest of the boys. He had to go get something for his girlfriend and bring it to her house and didn't have time to end the call so he left her on the phone with Daniel and Zach, the youngest boy. Zach then got up to go find Corbyn and Jonah, so it was just Sydnie and Daniel. It was their first time being "alone" together, yet neither of them felt awkward or weird, it felt right. They talked for hours and hours, just enjoying each other's company, even though it was only on the phone. They realized it was 4 a.m. in Pennsylvania and she had to get to sleep. They exchanged numbers and said their goodbyes. Ever since, she had been texting him along with the other boys and facetiming Daniel multiple times a week.

They were her best friends, it was hard being long distance though. She only had one close friend at home and they didn't talk very often, mainly at school, until they graduated, then she had nobody except for Jack, who was never home due to touring and other band things, they talked as often as possible. She was beyond happy to be standing in front of her five best friends again. In her mind, they were her four brothers and someone special. She has always had a crush on Daniel, ever since he was on American Idol. She always knew he'd make it, but her dreams got so much better when she found out he'd make it with her brother and the others. She didn't think he could ever feel the same about her though, so only Jack knew about her feelings for him. She walked up to him with a huge smile, on both their faces and hugged him tightly. They pulled away after a while and looked deep into each other's eyes and smiled, and noticed each other blushing. She then walked up to Corbyn and hugged him tight, said hello, then did the same with Zach and Jonah. She gave Jack another hug as well, cus she missed her brother.
