AMBER ALERT!
Reporters say that 15 year old Amber Hartage is presumed dead after 3 years of being missing. Police presume that the girl was kidnapped on the 26th of April 2014, after walking home from a sleepover. However they have found no suspects and the girl has not been found. Her parents are des-
Mia hartage screwed up the newspaper and buried her face in her hands. Her daughter had been missing for 3 years and nobody even had a lead of where she went. It was as if she just... disappeared! Amber's younger half brother, Jake, didn't understand that his sister was missing. He thought that she would come back soon. Mia always wanted to scream at him and tell him that she is probably never coming back. She always regretted the thought afterwards. He was only 5 and he didn't understand.
Mia's father died of dementia 5 days after Amber went missing, which just added to the pile of grief and stress that Mia was holding. She could barely keep herself together.
Amber's father, Graham, worked for as long as he could. As soon as he got home, which was about 10 pm, he went straight to bed and didn't say a word to anyone.
Amber's old friends at her old school didn't know what to do with themselves. Jamie, the girl that hosted the sleepover with Amber the day she disappeared, was the worst. She always had dark circles under her eyes, and was always muttering things that sounded vaguely like "it was all my fault".
Every year,on Amber's birthday, the whole town commemorated her, and went out of their way to comfort her family.
Little did they know, that Amber was 3000 miles away, in another town. On her birthday, she always had the temptation to pick up the phone and call her mother, to let them know she was alive. Every year she always refused the thought, knowing that they never cared and they never would.
It was one month until her 18th birthday and she was waiting to be able to get a proper job. She needed to be able to make some money to rent an apartment.
Amber wasn't planning on going back home at all. She thought that nobody missed her. She thought that nobody cared.
If only she knew.
Ik it's awful.
