Pov: Aera
The morning was cold at my chambers, the sound of the early bird cleans my mind as new ideas come. I took a white piece of paper and started to draw, the black feather attached to my pen swirld around and the ink left a permament mark in milk white paper
"Aera!" Shouted a kid-like voice scaring me in the prosses "You have mail!"
"Coming" I said sanding up and cleaning my desk, i took a last look at the drawing that had a huge line in the middle of it... disapointing, it was turning out so good. i removed the hira that was in my face with a hair pin and ran downstairs.
Downstairs a little boy was trying to open a package with a wooden like card, that little boy was my little brother, Coco, a real pain in the head
"Why is this so hard to open?" He inquired.
"You are doing it wrong, Coco, and that doesn't even work," I explained.
"Then you do it, dirt eyes!" Coco said mocking me.
"Sure, feather head," I replied.
I took a knife from the kitchen and sharpened the wooden card. I rushd back to the diner table where she cut the mailbox as a piece of butter.
"There, see? It's easy." I told Coco while i handed him the wooden card and the box. His purple eyes glimmered with emotion, until he opened his mouth to speak.
"Well that...... that's unfair! I mean, you are way stronger and older than me." i rolled my eyes and then smiled.
"You said I had mail," His purple eyes suddenly turned bright and he ran to the entrance. From the door, he grabbed an elegantly folded piece of paper and ran back with emotion.
"There you go," A shiver ran down my back. "Something is not going right," i though, "I think it's from Ivy, she told me to tell you that her phone is broken and that she will have it fixed in one or two weeks," Coco said as i felt my face go paper white, "Are you ok?" Coco asked.
"Yes I'm fine...I'm just a little dissy" i said after a deep breath. The sound of the birds chirping outside calmed me.
After me and Coco ate breakfast, i went upstairs to take a bath and change clothes. While i walked up the stairs, i remembered i had left the card sitting in the coffee table next to the window. i stamped down the stairs and went for the envelope. My heart started to beat faster as the knife cut throught the paper. I felt like the letter was something bad or some bad news, there was surely something up if the letter did not have a name. I unfolded the letter and looked for the name at the end of the letter, at the very end was written:
"With a lot of love,
Mom-"
I sighted with relief, i had left home and moved out of Argentina and to New Mexico for her studies: shortly after my little brother joined.
My mom had sent Coco with me do to a full time job offering, and i had a lot of money with my constant work.
Posting art and building stuff online and then selling it was really handy, i got a lot of money in my hands but not as much to que rich, just the correct amount.
"Dear Aera,
How are you? Everything is great here, I gotta tell you something really important and I can't wait 'till you and Coco come home in Christmas. Only one month left, Isn't it exciting? We can finally spend some quality time together , you , your brother, and me!
With a lot of love,
Mom-"
I completely ignored the rest of the letter, my mind just centerd on that one sentence."She has something important to tell me? What will it be?" my mind spined around in circles, i kept thinking of same words again and again. Could i make it on time before it happened?
I glanced at the clock on the wall.
