"I just don't understand why we have to attend his wedding" I complain to Ethan, who is playing video games. "It's not like we're best friends"
"You mean Daniel, one of our only friends from high school?" He chuckles, pausing his game. Ethan turns to me with a grin
"He... he was your friend. I don't know anything about him, besides the fact he is an asshole" I grunt.
Ethan shakes his head, his grin still plastered on his cheeks. He continues playing his game and says, "You two were always bumping heads" I roll my eyes letting out a pfft "Seeing who was more macho" Ethan teases as I push his side.
"He thought he was better at football than me" I defended "I proved him wrong" I mumbled to myself. I sigh starting to walk to my room.
"Don't forget, party at Anna's" Ethan yells from the living room
"Yeah yeah" I murmured closing my door. I let myself fall onto the bed, "who's Anna?" I ask out loud
- time skip -
"Dude, I don't know why I'm even here" I put the car in park. I stare at the large house, crowded with people
"Because its Anna's birthday-"
"I have no idea who that is" I interrupted. I started to feel annoyed and my twin brother could tell. He let out a loud sighed, I roll my eyes knowing he was going to say something that is gonna piss me off
"No fighting" He says after a long pause
"Okay, why do you always ask me that?" I ask in annoyance
"Because even when I do, you seem to always do the opposite" Ethan argues
"Whatever" I sighed climbing out of my vehicle. I slam the car door and walk towards the house. Small rain drops start to fall from the sky, hitting my cheeks.
I walk into the large home with Ethan following. Everyone was crowded close together, drinking, laughing, and talking. Some doing more than others but the smell of booze followed you like a shadow. Music bursting into your ears, making the tempo and your heart beat as it was one. I immediately see some acquaintances that I talk to sometimes.
We greet each other and Ethan rolls his eyes as he sees me with them. I walk towards him, "What's wrong?" I ask with a grin, knowing he doesn't like them
"Seriously? Them?" He asks as I pretend to not know what he's talking about. He sharply exhales "Gray, they are narcissistic assholes who thinks they are better than everyone" I chuckle causing Ethan to look at me with a confused look
"Well, I am better than most people here. So I think we get along nicely" I say turning away from him.

It has been a few hours since I've been here. I feel a little tipsy but it doesn't really matter. One of my friends, Justin is currently flirting with two girls. I start to explain how I have to go to a wedding to my other friend
"So I heard you need a date" A female voice was heard behind me. I turn around and see a blonde haired girl with her curls sitting perfectly on her shoulders. "Just your luck, I'm also going to Daniel's wedding" She continues with a grin
"Hey, Amy right?" I ask, her smile disappears from her face, her silence is a sign that it wasn't her name
"Anna... this is my party" She says with a sadden tone
"Right, I'm very sorry. I was wanting to wish you a happy birthday" I smile. Her shakes her head, her grin reappears on her lips
"Anyways, you needed a date?" Anna asks with hope in her eyes. I always go out with girls her type, desperate for attention, easy to please, beautiful, pretty dumb. But I find them boring and too easy.
"Nah, I can find one." Her smile disappears completely. "Hell, I can get any girl in this house" A chuckle was heard behind me. I sharply turn back and Justin was laughing. "You said something?" I ask with a hint of anger
"Sorry, I thought I heard you say you can get any girl in this room--"
"--In this house, in this world, baby" I corrected with confidence
"Alright, bet" He teases leaning closer "The next girl to walk through that door - any girl - will be your date to Daniel's wedding" He explains pointing to the front door. I stare at the door and turn towards him "Willing to take the challenge?" He asks raising an eyebrow
"Bet" I say shaking his hand. Anna was still standing there then she stomped away. I awkwardly look at Justin and he starts laughing his ass off.

Justin filled in my other friend, Kaiden on what was happening. Now, the 3 of us are closely watching the doorway. The door opens and all of us rise to our toes, but we sink down again and saw it was just another dude.
"Okay try this, 3...2...1..." Nothing happens, Kaiden raises an eyebrow at me "Try this again, 3...2..." Next thing we know, the door swings open and a small figure, no taller than 5 foot and a half walks in with a yellow rain jacket and converse. She takes a few moments to shake the rain off her jacket. She raises her head once the rain was shaken off, revealing a girl with glasses sitting in the bridge of her nose, hair seemingly up to her shoulders. She carried bags from a restaurant in both hands.
"Look at that one" Justin laughs, he continues to watch the girl making sure the food wasn't wet from the rain.
"Delivery!" She yells through out the house, a few guys wave her down. She greets them with a warm smile as she sets down the food on the table nearby
I faintly heard the conversation between the delivery girl and the guys, "Hold on," One of them said as they raise a hand at her. "What happened to the special instructions?" He asks, I see her roll her eyes at them
"Send your cutest delivery girl" The other quotes. Her voice was soft that I barely heard her, she still tried to act polite. "Do they even look at their instructions? I mean they sent you?" The same guy said. She said something else which I couldn't hear. The other guy yelled what? in her face.
She smiled at them then it quickly disappeared, "I said, if you really needed to see a girl and ask a food delivery service, I feel bad for you" She snaps. They two guys laugh then started to become angry
"If this is how you treat your customers, I'm not paying" One of them crosses their arms
"Seriously? This is a local food service where everything is homemade, it took awhile to made your food. Now you're not even gonna pay for it?" She yells
"You are starting to get on my nerves, you should go before you regret it, it's just a bunch of lowlifes" The other said towering himself over her. Before anyone could respond, the small girl punches the guy in the temple and kicks him in the stomach. He falls to the ground, wrapping his arms around his torso. The girl towers herself over him
"Those lowlifes are my family" She growls. She turns to the other who was unharmed. He scrambles in his pockets and finds his wallet. He hands her the amount of money needed to pay for the food.
She smiles at them and says "Thank you very much" She begins to walk to the exit
"Wow, okay... this one time, I'll give you another try--"
"No, I said I can get any girl. Plus, we made a bet and I'm a man of my word" I argue. Before the girl can walk out, I made a mental note of where she worked. "Hart's Kitchen" I mumble to myself
