The Lost Heroes of Arcadia

Prelude

1995 AD in Arcadia the mythical land where Gods dwelled.

Children run through the court laughing and playing while the women tend to the garden. Young Brienna sits among the Lilly field with a smile on her face. Across the yard you see baby Gabrielle playing in the waters washed up on the sand by the river. Ashly and Kristal have just started training and Shyann cuddles up in her mother's arms fast asleep. A perfect day in Arcadia. A day that will soon change everything.

"GET THE CHILDREN AND RUN TO SAFETY! HURRY!" A soldier yells as he holds up a protective shield with all his might. Kelly runs and grabs her children. "Ashly Get Gabrielle now!" Ashly picks up her sister as she struggles to her mom. Kelly grabs gabby as they run to a safe room. Everyone is trapped trying hard to push through the portal and even the bridge out of the city.

Buildings fall and crumble as bombs tear through the stone. "Are you ready men?" The general asks his army. "FOR ARCADIA" they yell as they prepare their powers. One by one they fall to their death. Until finally the fighting ceases. "Bring me your king!" A man says as he walks through the casualties on both sides. This man stood about 7ft tall, broad shoulders and hands that could palm a large watermelon with ease. He takes off his helmet and stands waiting to be greeted by the King. "Why are you here!?" The king asks as he walks towards the man. "There's a source here too powerful. Too strong for one kingdom to have. I am here to take it and bring it to our Lord Seth." The large man says. "Give me the power and after you bow I will let your people live." The King looks into the eyes of his soldiers and his wife. "I do not know of this power you speak and I would rather die than to bow to the likes of you." The King says with his head held high. "Then you will see your land painted with the blood of your people." The man says as he places on his helmet. "ATTACK!!!" He yells as an army forms out of the sky and begins cutting through the soldiers. The King uses his last to put a protective shield around his wife and son as she sends them away. The man grabs the King by his head as he yanks it back exposing his neck. "Any last words?" He says. The King takes a deep breath and says "Long Live Arcadia." The man cuts his head off and opens up a detector looking for this power source.

Meanwhile the residents have been captured trying to escape. The tears and screams of scared children filled the air. Kelly sits in a tunnel quiet with her children. "Come, come now." She hears. She looks over and sees Frank the teacher standing there with a staff. This is our only chance hurry. She moves as fast as she can. They end up at the end of a cliff. "Ok if I can get this thing to work it will open a portal to a new world." Frank tries over and over to get the staff to work but nothing. Kelly takes a deep breath as she tries to calm her babies. Shyann starts crying and part of the staff flickers. Now scared Gabby begins to cry and another part lights. "OMG they're the source." Frank says as he looks at the half lite staff. "Quickly all of you make noise." He says and the girls start yelling. The staff slowly lights and a portal begins to form.

The detectors the intruders have start beeping at an alarming rate. They start running, following where the detector was leading them. "We don't have time jump now!" Frank yells as he hears the people running towards them. Kelly holds both babies in her arms as she walks to the ledge. "Protect my children." She says as she nudges Ashly, Kristal and Brie into the portal. She then holds on tight to the babies as they jump in. "FREEZE NOW!" The man yells to Frank but instead he jumps in immediately closing the portal.

"Hey move out the way!" A man on a bike yells at Kelly. "What is this place?" Kelly asks looking around at the big buildings and cars. "It is a place called America" Frank says. He looks around and sees people looking at them funny. They are still dressed in pearl white linen with gold trim. A huge difference from the others in Tommy Hilfiger and Levi Jeans. "I think we need new clothes" Kelly says as she pulls her kids closer to her. As they leave the store now dressed in American fashion they think of how they will now function in this new world. Thankfully they had enough gold to buy a house and keep them afloat until Kelly figures out what to do.

A few months later....

"You talk funny" a kid says poking fun at Kristal and Ashly. "Well this is how we talk where I'm from" Kristal says in her Arcadian accent. It was a mix between European and West Africa. "Well I think it's stupid and so are you" the little boy says. He looks over and sees Ashly playing with blocks. He proceeds to kick them over. "Hey stop!" Kris yells. "What are you gonna do?" The boy says laughing with the other kids. Kristal starts to get mad. She gets hot like her body was on fire. She closes her eyes to calm down but when she opens them her eyes are a fire red. "Whoa shes a monster." The kids yell as they back away. Fire slowly starts to form in Kristal's hands. Kelly hears the commotion and looks over and sees what's happening. "ENOUGH!" Kelly yells snapping Kristal out her trance. Everyone on the playground is now looking at them in fear. Kelly takes a deep breath as gold dust leaves her hands and surrounds everyone. Their eyes close as she erased the incident and get her and the kids out of there.

Later on that evening at the house..

"In front of everyone!" Kelly yells as she prepares dinner. "It is not safe for them to have their powers. This world cannot handle it." Frank looks at Kelly as he tries his best to convince her they can be trained. "They are Arcadian gods. They need to know they are gods. Nothing will happen." Frank says.

As they sit in the kitchen suddenly a spear flies through and pierces the cabinet. "The girls" Kelly yells as she puts a shield over the staircase. Two men appear dressed in black armor. "Arcadian! We are here for the girls. Give them and we will consider letting you live." The man says as he pulls his sword from its sheath. "Well I've never been the one to do things easy." Kelly says as she steps back. She extends her hands as her eyes gleam. Gold dust forms around her. She pushes her arms forward and the dust hit the men knocking them back into the wall. Slowing it began burning through their armor. Frank takes his walking cane which now turned into a gold staff. He spins it around creating a portal as he sweeps the men through it. Kelly and Frank stand their looking at each other. Frank shakes his head agreeing it's best to bind their powers.

Kelly walks into the room with the girls all asleep. She takes a necklace and place it on each girl. "My girls, my gods, believe this is the best" she says as she strips their powers and place them into the vessel attached to the necklace. "One day when you are older I will teach you of your world and who you are." Once all of the vessels were full she lifted her hands and said "Desméfste tis dynámeis méchri to thánato í tin apelefthérosi. (Bind the powers until death or release)." The stones then turned amber.
