Chapter 1: The interview

Veronica's POV;

This is it. The last interview of the day then I get some time to finally relax.

"Hurry! I see SoMo! He's coming!" Jannet yelled.

I put my mic on, grab my notepad & head backstage. I stumble over a few mic chords but eventually make my way.

"Yeah you gotta watch out for those suckers." said a deep rusty voice.

I looked up & found myself speechless, just gazing into the deepest brown eyes I've ever seen. They look so much better in person.

"Yeah haha" I finally manage to say.

"You're...Veronica..right?"

"Yes sir, that's me. How did you know?" I blush.

"Your name tag haha, and Joseph is fine" he says with a slim smile peeking from the corner of his lips.

"Oh okay. Well Joseph, I just have a few questions to ask you. Would you mind?" I try to say without my voice shaking.

"No, of course! Not at all"

"So you started out on YouTube, correct?"

"Mhmm. That's correct. It only started out as a fun hobby I enjoyed doing."

"Did you ever expect this hobby to grow as much as it did?"

"I didn't expect anything out of it honestly"

"Are you glad something came out of it?"

"Of course! I'm so grateful everyday for all the love & support I get from all my beautiful/handsome fans (A/n yes there a male SoMo fans too ) I wouldn't here without them. I love what I do. It doesn't even feel like a 'job'" he explains.

"I can tell you're very passionate about what you do. Is there anything else you're passionate about?"

"Well, I'm a big animal lover" he chuckles.

"Oh really? I find that very attractive" I smirk.

Wait...oh my gosh. Veronica why would you? What are you doing? Whaa-

"Oh you do?" he says with a sexy half smile that portrays his perfect vivid white teeth.

"I uumhh..well I...I meant" I say as I feel my cheeks get hot.

"Haha I'm just joking" he says.

"Ohh yeah haha..anyway, back to the interview..we're gonna take a few questions from your fans." I say still trying to cool down the burning temperature in my face.

"Yeah okay that's cool"

"What is something you like to do in your free time other than music? Submitted by Angela"

"Well, umhh..actually..uhh..I enjoy movies"

"Nice nice. So this next one comes from Mary. She asks, what dog breed is Jill?"

"Jill is an Australian Shepherd. Gosh I miss her so much.." he says stroking his arm while looking at the floor.

Wow..he really is passionate about animals.

"Our last question comes from Tamy. She wants to know if you have a woman in your life at the moment?"

"Yeah. I do" he says straight faced.

"May I ask who?" I say it almost scared to hear his response.

"My mom!" he exclaims while smiling almost ear to ear.

I admit that was pretty funny but I want to know the actual answer. Not only for Tamy or any other fans out there, but I wanna know for myself. I mean, how could such an attractive human being possibly still be single? Crazy right?

I chuckle a little before proceeding.

"I don't think that's what Tamy meant.."

"Well, actually right now, no. I've been pretty busy lately so I'm trying to just focus on my career"

As he answers the question, I thank the Holy Lord & imitate the cross figure across my chest in my head.

"Well si-.. I mean Joseph, I'm sure you'll find someone soon enough. Thank you for your time. Enjoy the rest of your stay here"

"My pleasure, Veronica" he says with a wink.

I instantaneously feel my heart melt just like a Popsicle on a hot Texas day. (A/n I thought it was pretty clever to use Texas bc SoMo duhh)

I begin to exit backstage with the rest of my 'crew' before I feel a firm hand grasp my forearm. I look back & see Joseph. He hands me a slip of paper & walks away slowly escaping into the dark stage.

I open the paper & almost faint. Did he just..he just..oh my gosh he just!! Calm down Veronica. It's probably a prank. I look around for hidden cameras but then realize exactly how foolish I probably look. I slip it in my jean shorts pocket & look around a few more times before walking back to my hotel room.
