Never ending

10 years old

I thought I was doing everything right to play happy families with my soon to be step father. But apparently not.
I was playing nicely with his 7 year old son, Noah and his 4 year old daughter, Bonnie just to make a friendly environment other wise he would beat my mum and I couldn't let that happen, even at 10 years old.
We went out on family holidays and trips even though it was a nightmare for me as he made it that way and my mum was oblivious to what was going on as she was in love again after losing my father in an attack on his place of work 7 years ago two days before my 4th birthday.
One night as I was drifting off to sleep, he came into my room to lay on my bed with me. I only had a thin nightie on as it was summer.
I recoiled in terror as I felt his hand start to take of my nightie. Then I heard the unmistakable belt buckle being undone beside me. I gulped not knowing what to do but knowing it was wrong. 'What are you doing?' I stuttered. 'Nothing Emmy, don't panic.' He replied.
He started to trace his fingers on my body; paying attention to my face, my private's and my newly forming breasts. All I knew was that this wasn't right and I wanted it to stop but it didn't.
That night I knew of nothing else as I blanked out his attack on me only pain became my friend that night as well as terror. Not the kind of thing a 10 year old girl should be experiencing with her step father. But that summed up my life... not normal.
