A/N Okay so I copied this from My tumblr @ladycumberbatchofcamelot to apologies if there are mistakes. Xx - Skye
You always remember when you where a child and your grandfather telling you stories of when he fought with the Camelot Knights during the Great Purge. Ever since then you have been training to become a knight.
Day in day out, you would train with your father. Your brother Merlin however would always be helping your mother cook food and plow the fields.
~~~~Skip Ten Years~~~~
‘Merlin!?’ you exclaim. Your run up to your brother and you both embrace eachother. He strokes your H/C hair. 'Its so good to see you again Y/N’ he say’s as he pulls away from you.
That night you explain to him that you have been training with knights, and that your hoping to become a knight. 'Thats risky business Y/N?’ he replied 'If you get caught..’ He trails off.
He looks deep in to your E/C eye’s, you look back into his big blue eye’s.
As your training you knock over your opponent, Sir Gwaine come’s over and helps him up.
“You have great technique” Gwaine says as you blush when he touches.
“BUT THATS NOT FAIR!!!” your opponent exclaims.
“And how is that?” King Arther questions.
“Im fighting a girl” he answers.
“Is this true?” Asks Arther.
“Yes my Lord” you exclaim whilst taking your helmet off.
“Guards sieze her!” Arther demands.
You are carried away very willingly.
~~~That Night~~~
“Well that was smart” says Gwaine.
“Wha- What are you doing here?” You say to him.
“I came here to deliver your food to you” he answers.
You blush. Luckily its dark inside the dungeon so he can’t see your hot flushed cheeks.
After he leaves you feel hot stinging tears roll down your face as you sob into your knees.
As Gwaine walks away he hears you sob and every tear breaks his heart a little bit more.
The next day you are awoken by the ringing of the alarm bells and screaming of innocent peasants.
“Camelot’s under attack” you think still half asleep.
“GUARDS” you yell. No reply.
The guards must be outside, you think.
Your E/C eyes turn yellow as you use a spell to blow the door of it’s hinges.
“Well you can certainly take care of yourself” a figure says in the shadow.
“Merlin!” you yell.
He passes you a sword and you both dash off to the castle court.
As you get their you see all of the knights of the round table fighting off atleast three bandits each. You run over and help Gias as he is almost stabbed by one awfully small looking bandit.
“Thank you Y/N!” Gias say’s.
You nod and run off to help King Arther.
You pull the sword off of his neck and puncture the bandits armour. He runs off clutching his stomach. You smirk whilst fighting of the last few remaining bandits still remaining in the castle courtyard.
King Arther walks towards you, and you bow your head as he towers over you.
“Kneel” he demands.
“Yes sire” you remark. Half expecting him to end you right here.
To your suprise he does not.
“I here by decree Y/N a knight of Camelot after saving the life of the King. All charges of treason shall be dropped.” He continues “Thank you for saving my life”
“When my King is in need of assistance I am always happy to lend a hand” you say as he lightly taps your shoulders with his sword.
~~~Skip Two Weeks~~~ After youhad been knighted you had became best friends with all of the King Arther’s Knights. Especially Gwaine. You and Queen Gwen would giggle if he walked past. And he would give you strange looks as if you had three heads.
There was a royal feast coming up and how you wished that Gwaine would ask you to attend with him. It was to be a formal feast so all ladies including you had to wear dresses and all of the men had to wear fancy clothes. Gwen had asked her dress maker to also make you a dress as beautiful as the night sky.
Gwen had just left your quarters after giving you the dress. You didnt wear dresses much and where trying to get the back clipped infront of the mirror when Gwaine walked in (As he did very often as he didnt care much for privacy). As soon as he seen you with your dress half on, his face turned as red as the roses which grew out in the meadows of Camelot.
