"There - there's a what?" Jake asks, his voice high and slightly hoarse. His eyes were wide, staring blankly at Doctor Bennett.

"A second sac." Doctor Bennett repeats.

Jake and Amy share a concerned and confused look at each other before focusing back at the doctor with the same glare. They stay silent for a moment, staring blankly at the doctor as they wait for either one of them to break it, or for Doctor Bennett to break the silence himself.

A few minutes later, he turns to them both, who still seem to be looking to him with complete shock. "Are you two alright? Can I get you both anything?"

They both shake their heads, mumbling under their breathe.

Doctor Bennett looks to them both. "Look, it's still early. You're only about six weeks along. It is unlikely, but that could just be an empty sac. We'll book you an appointment in a week to have a follow up."

Jake swallows the large lump in his throat. "But - but... what would be the likelihood that's an - an actual... you know, sac thingy?"

Doctor Bennett sighs and looks to them both with a deep stare. "I don't mean to scare you, but there is probably an eighty-percent chance of that being a sac with a embryo inside."

They both grip to each other's hands tightly and Jake swallows the lump in his throat again.

Amy nods slowly. "Okay, well, thank you."

Two Days Later

Jake sat down on Amy's couch, following after her actions after she had done so, placing the bag he was holding down on the coffee table in front.

"I brought you some of those vitamin things you wanted me to get."

Amy smiles weakly at him. "Thanks, you didn't have to."

"I did, because I promised you I'd help wherever you want me to."

The smile becomes more intense as she looks to her partner next to her. "Well, thanks again." A silence hits them both when she looks back down to the floor before she breaks it a moment later. "I think that for our best interest, we should talk what would actually happen if it is twins."

Jake nods. "Yeah, I was actually hoping we'd be able to talk about it."

"Great," Amy shifts to face him, sitting with her back against the arm of the couch, "firstly, I've had experience. Two of my youngest brothers are twins and I was nine when they were born. And my brother Tony has twin boys, so I'm familiar in the extra difficulty level."

"Noice, I have no experience." Jake simply breaks in.

"Given thought knowing you're an only child." Amy nods along, smiling a little.

He nods again before going straight-faced. "Before we go any further, I was just wondering, like, what percentage is the possibility this is my kid? Or kids?"

"Oh, I don't know, that's hard to tell," Amy sighs sarcastically, it surprising her when Jake doesn't catch on. She decides to dumb it down for him, "maybe like, a hundred?"

"Okay, cool, cool, cool, cool, no doubt. Just wanted to be sure."

She raises her eyebrows at him. "Jake, I can only tell you a certain amount of times. You don't have to do this."

"I said I'm fine with it, I was just checking."

"Not everyone does that."

"But most people are in committed relationships when something like this happens." Jake sighs.
