So first up today Nick and Brooke were in jazz class with Gianna and Abby took Brandon & I off to start learning our routine. "Right, you two! This duet is very energetic and involves a lot of facials but I know that should be easy for you two!" Miss. Abby smiled. She worries me when she says things like that knowing the pressure is on.
First of all she put the music to Die Young on and told us to improv. This is for her to get an idea of which dance moves work well with this song and what makes us feel comfortable. I started off with a set of turns followed by a center leap, then I made eye contact with Brandon and turned into him so he lifted me up onto his shoulder.
This carried on for the rest of the song while Abby quickly scribbled down notes. "Right!" She said when the music stopped. She loves the word 'right' along with a few other innapropriate ones...
"I have an idea of what I would like you two to do!" Abby clapped. We learned quite an easy routine seeing as this is the first proper time me and Brandon have danced together. We learned the dance in half an hour then ran through a few times.
Gianna called us in to Studio B for a Musical Theater session while Miss.Abby took Nick and Brooke off to practise their duet 'You Can't Stop The Beat' while we stayed in Studio B doing some practise on our facial expressions and lip synching.
After finishing our second hour of the day we were given a break where me and Brooke met up with the other girls. I took my phone out and hopped on instagram where fans had been commenting on my recent photo of me and Nick. It made me grin and Maddie laughed at me and said "Are you fantasising over Nick again?" "No!" I giggled. We all went into fits of laughter
Let me tell you a bit about Maddie Ziegler; we are kind of frenemies in the sense of being very competitive against each other. She is a technical dancer who never gets told off just like me! I feel a bit sorry for her though because ever since I joined the ALDC I have become the new favourite just like she used to be.
About 10 minutes later I realised that I had left my dance bag upstairs in the viewing room so I stepped out into the corridor where I heard an interesting conversation between Brandon and Nick. "I just don't like her anymore!" Brandon cried. I scurried towards the stairs up to the viewing room but instead of going up I sat there listening intently. "Look" Nick said "Just make some crap up that you don't deserve her or something and the break up with her!" I gasped, How could Nick say that?
I hurried upstairs and grabbed my dance bag then ran downstairs where I literally bumped into Nick. "Nick!" I shouted "I need to talk to you" I dragged him into Studio D where we usually have our makeout sessions and confront him about Brandon. "Look, I know everything! I need to tell Brooke!" I cried. "Lottie, if you tell Brooke she is going to hate Brandon. Let him do it" He smiled at me. I knew I was beat but the guilt was killing me.
Ten minutes later we were called back into Studio A and were told a bit more about our group dance. "Now this dance is a contemporary dance to Apologize. Ok, Brandon and Brooke you two will be partnered together. Nick and Charlotte you will be playing the best friends of the couple." Abby said.
We worked on this dance for an hour and it was quite hard because there were different scenarios all put together in one dance. After finishing the dance we had a lunch break and I saw Brandon cart Brooke off outside. I felt so bad for her!
I ran up to Nick and hugged him "Poor Brookie! Brandon just took her outside". I cried. "Shhh, it's ok baby. I know you care for Brooke so all you need to do is comfort her and make her feel special" He smiled.
Just then Brandon walked past with his head in his hands and Brooke followed shortly after shouting at the top of her lungs at him. She lunged at Brandon and Nick pulled her back until she fell into a heap on the floor. "Brookie" I soothed stroking her back "Do you want to talk?" She took my hand and we walked outside behind the huge oak tree. "He broke up with me! I don't even know why. What did I do? I'm not a bad girlfriend am I?" She sobbed. "Of course you're not! Brandon just doesn't know how to treat a girl well". I said trying to make her feel better.
I hugged her and rubbed her back. Just then Nick came outside with tissues "Aww Brookie" Nick cooed. "Nick, how could he do this to me!" Brooke cried. He just sat down and hugged us both as I was now upset at seeing my best friend hurt so bad.
I'm dreading going back inside for our next dance class. I decided that I should go and tell Abby what has happened so I ran inside leaving Brooke and Nick under the oak tree. I ran into the reception and asked Miss.Abby if I could talk to her privately.
"What's up sweetie?" Miss.Abby smiled. "Um, Brooke and Brandon have split up and she is very torn up about it so can we do something to make them be friends?" I questioned. "Hmm, I will have a think but for next lesson I will get Gianna to split them up while we are training for your solo" She smiled. "Thankyou I just don't like seeing Brooke upset" I sighed. She opened her arms and beckoned me to hug her.
