"Gabbie! It's time to get ready for camp! " My mom called from downstairs.
I groan and roll out of bed.
"Yeah, yeah I'm coming! " I yell back.
Today was the first day of summer, meaning the first day of summer camp. I really didn't want to go. This is my first time ever going to summer camp. I don't get out of the house much. Mom says being inside is good for me.
My mom always said that education is more important than having fun. So I should study at summer camp. Spend the summer studying, be prepared for the next years to come. I never really got why she told me this. I would never get in trouble.
To get in trouble I would need friends.

Mom always said that you only need yourself as a friend. That way you'll never get hurt. I guess she was right.
Well I'm getting off track. I better get ready before mom yells at me.
I jump in the shower and do my morning routine. Once I'm done I pick out a cute outfit and get ready for my summer long stay in the middle of nowhere.
I hope they have a beach there.
