Today, we're moving to Milledgeville, Georgia. I never really liked our old house; it was really old, and had a lot of cracked walls, and we didn't get them repaired because we didn't have enough money, so Dad got a new job in Milledgeville, looking for better payment and a better life. Mom and Dad are hoping that we can make this work. They're up in the front listening to some 80's music, so me and my brother, Carl, are in the back listening to our own music. A few hours later, we finally reached Milledgeville. We set up our house, got furniture in, and claimed bedrooms. Carl and my room are upstairs, across from each other. Mom and Dad's room is downstairs, by the kitchen. After we ate dinner, Mom said, "It's been a long day. Let's all go to bed. We've all got an early morning tomorrow."

My name is Judith. I am 11 years old, I have long brown hair with untamed curls. My brother is Carl. He has straight long brown hair. We both have bright blue eyes that sparkle in the light. I like reading, and I'm not as much into sports as some people. Carl is 13, and he likes hunting, that's pretty much the only sport he does.

The next day was an early morning. Today is Carl's first day of 8th grade and my first day of 6th. I made some friends named Kyle and Quentin. After school, I got cornered by some 8th grade boys at the back of the school and they told me about some abandoned asylum and threatened me that I had to spend a night in it or they would hurt Carl. After they left, I came back to the front of the school, Kyle and Quentin waiting for me.

"Where were you?" Quentin asked.

"What happened?" They had so many questions.

"Nothing, I just got lost, that's all..." I answered with my head down.

"Well, okay then..." They said with a worried expression on their face.

We missed the bus, so they walked me home.
